Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo
Ranked #2 of 94 Hotels / Ryokan in Chuo
Certificate of Excellence

I stay in many hotels, and Hotel Ryumeikan was one of the best I have every stayed in. Ideal location -- 3 min walk from Tokyo Station and 1 min walk from the airport shuttle bus stop. Room facilities were excellent, including a Nespresso coffee maker AND a kettle, and a 'sleep system' to lull you to sleep and wake you up gently. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

You will be welcome in this hotel. Everything is clean and in order. The location is perfect if you have to use public ground transportation system inside or outside (like the high speed train network) Tokyo. The main railway station is at a walking of five minutes.

This hotel is located 5 min (if that) from Tokyo station (Yaesu side). It is surrounded by cages, restaurants, convenience stores and the underground Yaesu shopping street. It is an excellent Tokyo city stay with comfortable rooms in pristine condition with super awesome showers. The beds are small (as are most in Japanese hotels), so if you want a big bed opt for the largest room.
The staff though are faultless. They are super friendly, speak excellent English and were amazingly helpful. For example, my baby had a cold and I asked for the location of a pharmacy. They not only directed me to the closest pharmacy using two maps, but they called ahead to get the right medicine and wrote a note for the pharmacist in Japanese to ensure I got the correct product. Amazing customer service.
I highly recommend this hotel for its location, cleanliness and the staff. Reasonably priced too.

The hotel is located 2 minutes walking distance from the exit of Tokyo JR station, and also close to Metro lines. The location is great, and Tokyo station has a lot of stores for shopping and ramen street that open till 11pm. A convenient store right at the corner. The district seem very safe, even walking out pass midnight there are still people out walking. The hotel room is modernly decorated with looks very nice. The size is small, but that's standard in Japan. Service is great, rental of a DVD player was free and they even brought it into my room for me.

Areas for improvement: No free breakfast included, and the restaurant seem slightly pricey. The dryer is not powerful enough and takes a very long time to actually dry your laundry; it took me 3 cycles to have my 4 days clothing (mostly short sleeve T-shirts) fully dried. The currency exchange rate offered at hotel counter seem to be worse than airport or location shops.

Despite the minor things, this is a really excellent hotel. Will definitely stay here again!

Close to Tokyo station. The rooms have everything to make your stay comfortable - sound system, toiletries with anti aging cream, fancy toilet and shower, ionizer, humidifier, shoe stretcher, Japanese and English TV channels, good size work desk, high speed Internet, Room layout good. Great value.

Stayed here on new year's eve. Room was above average, equipped with nespresso machine and toiletries for the guests. Location is good, just a short walk from Tokyo station. Only con is that no breakfast was provided.

We stayed 4 nights here and had a great stay. Really close to Tokyo station and metro so we were able to do,lots with an infant. We had two rooms...one was really economical with space but one was a larger double which could accommodate a cot. The en suites were great with good quality soaps and accessories. The coffee in the room was top notch and nothing was too much trouble for the staff including luggage forwarding. There are lots of restaurants in the area and lots to see and do. Excellent hotel in Central Tokyo for a good price.
