“Superb location in busyTokyo”
Reviewed September 23, 2011

Travel here for a business trip. I find this new, modern, dark ambience hotel interesting. The rooms size were adequate for Tokyo standards. Most of the hotel staffs speak english and making it easier to order for room service. Hotel lobby/reception is located on the 27th flr and breakfast is also served here. The breakfast buffet serves american and japanese food. Internet connections is provided FOC with LAN cable found in the drawers. English tv channel and movies is not available but you need to pay for such services on a fix daily rate. Apart from all these, you can call for the in house massage service. They are pricey but it is avialble.
The Tokyo train/subway station is just next to it with easy access to Shinkansen (bullet train) connecting to most major cities in Japan. The bus limousine pick up point to the airport is located just 10 mins walk away. There are numerous restaurants around this hotel offering all sorts of variety. Convenience stores are easily found around this hotel.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip to Tokyo. The hotel occupies the top floors of the Sapia Tower and offers excellent views of Central Tokyo.

Restaurant food was excellent - had both lunch and the buffet breakfast, very tasty.

Rooms where very comfortable. English satellite channels available and internet connection is complementary.

Very accessible to Tokyo Station and the Narita Express.

All in all a good place to stay in this area of town.

We (family of 4) stayed at the Metropolitan Marunouchi as it was close to Tokyo Station which made is ideal for our relativley early flight from Narita. It is also within walking distance of the Imperial Palace.
The hotel is a very stylish and well run hotel. We were on the 31st Floor (reception in on the 27th floor of this tower block) and, as it was a very clear night, our views across Tokyo City were stunning. The staff all spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful. The rooms were pretty small even by Tokyo standards but very clean and well appointed nonetheless.

If you have a connection through Tokyo station (for example an early morning train to Narita), this is the best midrange place to stay (the Four Seasons would be your upmarket choice, while the APA, a couple of blocks away, would be the budget option).

It's just outside Tokyo station - though the signage within the station is hopeless. Head for Yaesu north exit, and continue to the Nihonbashi exit. If you're looking at a map in the station, look for the "Sapia" tower. The hotel inhabits the upper floors, and the reception is on the 27th floor, within an internal 5 or 6 storey atrium (complete with model train set - every hotel lobby should have one!). The hotel is modern, and respectable if you need to meet business associates or bring your mother in law.

The staff all speak basic to good English. Check-in and check-out were efficient and quick, tho' as usual with Japanese hotels, don't expect early check-in favours. The room was modestly sized, fashionably decorated in dark woods, with a good size desk and a comfortable bed. The internet is free, connected through LAN (no wireless unless you're lucky enough to scavenge a signal from the Shangri-La next door). There's tea/coffee making facilities, and a good bathroom (small - you're in Tokyo, remember - but good plumbing and toiletries, and of course a bottom-heaven Japanese toilet). All signage is in English as well as Japanese.

I didn't use any of the hotel facilities. There's a restaurant, but then there must be hundreds of eateries within a 10-minute walk (and several convenience stores if you want to snack in your room), so it's almost irrelevant.

This is well-appointed mid-upper Japanese business hotel that copes well with foreign guests. At the price point (I paid about JPY17,000 per night, net) I can't really fault it. The fridge was too cold, freezing my sports drink to slush overnight, and I couldn't find a thermostat to turn it down; the room needed more power points (kettle, humidifier, phone charger, laptop... only two sockets tho'); and wifi would be nice, in order to use a smartphone. But really... no complaints.

Overall, this is a good choice. You won't be disappointed.

Loved the hotel... we were exhausted from the jet lag and a day of sight seeing and just slept so well in the hotel! The views of the city were amazing as well. Beautiful rooms, nice decor and very comfortable (My husband loved the desk chair provided).

The hotel also offers the breakfast at a discounted rate which was very good. They offered both a traditional Japanese as well as a North American breakfast as well. Staff spoke good english as well.

Really recommend this place, stayed for 2 nights for business, the hotel building is attached to the train station where you get the train to and from the airport. The staff were very nice, beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. Overall I would recommend for business or sightseeing.
