We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Our first stop in Tokyo.

Hotel Location:
Take exit 5 of the Hanzomon subway station, on the Hanzomon line. The hotel is located right across the street.
There is a 7/11 and Family mart convience stores up and down the street. One of the family marts (up the hill) is 24hrs.
A few places to eat around the hotel, although we didn't try any.
Extremely safe neighbourhood and very quite (compared to other areas of Tokyo). I think it was a residential area with a lot of the foreign embassies around the area.
The location of this hotel is spot on. Right in the centre so we could get to everything easily and take the subway back.
Very easy to get to the hotel from Narita airport. We took the train to Oshiage (Skytree) and then the subway to Hanzomon.

Room:
We had a single room for 2 adults, with a double bed on the 10th floor.
Room size was ok. We left our large and small suitcase near the door, otherwise there would be no space to walk around.
We spent all day outside and only came back to sleep, so the size of the room didnt bother us.
The wardrobe in the room is small, only big enough for a few clothes.
Bathroom was small (by western standards, but normal for Tokyo) and no complaints.
Our room was cleaned daily to a high standard and amenities topped up.
You have a hot water machine in the room (for coffee, noodles etc) , where the water is re-filled daily.
There is free wifi in the hotel, although I had a poor signal in the room. This was probably because we were in a corner room, at the back of the hotel.
Stepping out into the corridor gave me a strong signal. There are ethernet cables in the room, altough I didnt use this.

The staff were very courteous and very polite upon check-in.
Even throughout our stay, they were very informative and would always greet you with a smile.

No complaints regarding our stay here. I highly recommend this hotel if your going to be touring around Tokyo. Will be staying here again on our next visit.

If you can get past the tiny rooms, this hotel is a real winner. Very clean, in a great location near the subway, excellent service and amazingly affordable for Tokyo. I've stayed at their Akasaka location (also very good) and Ginza (not nearly as good). This one is the best, in my opinion.

We had a short stay in Tokyo and the Monterey Hanzomon was a good choice for us. A good room, both western and Japanese breakfast, very close to the Imperial Palace and the Subway right across the street to take you everywhere. Nothing extra fancy, just a good hotel to spend the nights after sightseeing.
