The Tokyo International Forum is a super modern event space that consists of several buildings. It is a venue for music performances, conferences, workshops, and antique markets (on select Sundays).

Unless you have tickets to a specific event, the only real draw is the architecture -- the cavernous glass building is beautiful, but the Forum only houses a few shops and restaurants.

If you have time, it's probably worthwhile getting off the subway here (Yurakucho) and seeing the Forum before walking to Ginza. There's an exit from the station that comes up in the basement of the Forum. It's then only a short walk to central Ginza.

Sunday's are good because you might catch the antique market.

Pick up some reasonably priced Japanese antiques - especially good for obis - the forum building is stunning too so pop inside.

This cultural center is made of 2 buildings, the curved glass one the more unusual, and the cube-shaped white building less so. The interior atrium of the glass building is worth a look, and is well illuminated by natural light in the daytime. The ceiling resembles a ship's hull. In an abstract way, it reminds me of a new building displaying a pharaoh's boat, located next to one of the pyramids at Giza. If you are interested in modern architecture, it is worth a visit. If not, it is not.

Bic camera electronic store and imperial palace are close by, so maybe a good combination for half a day of your stay in Tokyo!
