“Prepare to go mad at this branch of Muji”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2014

Aside from those simple yet utterly functional items for your home, kitchen, study room and vanity table, this huge store also has a large grocery section, an eat-in cafe and a mock residential space outfitted with everything Muji. You can easily spend half a day here!

TIP: There's a branch of LOFT, another excellent Japanese lifestyle goods store right beside it where you can spend the other half of your day.

“Fantastic store”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2014

I love Muji. This is the mothership of Muji stores. With several floors, a restaurant worth trying and a mini grocery store, you can't go wrong! Check it out. It doesn't disappoint!

“Style, Simplicity, and Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2013

While I haven't been to this branch specifically, I did go to branches in Shibuya, Ikebukuro, and Shinjuku and as others have mentioned, Muji symbolizes style, simplicity, and service.
I just want to mention here in case others may not know - if you purchase pants, you can get them hemmed for free! A salesperson will pin/clip the pants and write you a claim ticket for your pants. When I had my alterations, it took about 4 days. I really appreciated this service as it saved me the expense of tailoring them back in the U.S! Again, a testament to the Japanese commitment to service to their customers!

“Muji, Yokohama Station”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

I loved this store. The prices were reasonable and I found tons of things I loved and great gifts. One fun thing you can do it print names on plain cloth bags. This was fun and made a great way to take gifts home in a personalized bag. Also everything I bought was perfectly wrapped and the large picture frames I purchased were wrapped in bubble warp with a string and handle added for carrying them. It's like you get your own little gift when you buy things there. I loved the home goods section as well.

Great option for shopping in Yokohama.

“Ideal for simple and chic supply for a cosy house”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

Muji means "no name" or anonymous. The idea is extremely simple : to propose all the objects for daily use in your house. To make your daily environement simple, refined, never pretentious. Beautiful design, by great designers, but no signature. Pure design, without diktat.
You will find here the perfect shelves for your books, useful kitchen tools, elegant dishes for happy friendly diners, or lovers' breakfast, white unforgettable shirts, comfortable blanket or even rice cooker... Everything with simple plain colors, pure design, understated elegance. And even if you are a gaijin and speak only a few japanese words, someone will be extremely kind to you and will help with order, delivery and even assembly on demand for a small additional cost. Enjoy!
