It's lovely and serene. Worth the visit, it's free and you can walk around and take in the beautiful garden. It doesn't disappoint just wear sunscreen it gets pretty hot!

Visited on one of the day where it is free entry. it may close at times, so do check for opening. There is a pottery museum inside. but highlight is the beautiful garden. love the landscape and plants, would have been better a few weeks later, since not all flowers are blooming. Many goods spot for great pics. Couldn't cover the big area due to limited time here.

Gardens in the city! Very well maintained. Another go to place when visiting Japan. I don't remember paying a fee and if we did, it was minimal.

One of the most serene gardens I have ever had the fortune to see in my life. With it being situated right in the middle of extreme urbanization. It's almost like a time warp into a past, better life when you step through those gates. Our aim was to try to get to the Imperial Palace before it closed but the gardens were so incredibly large we didn't make it, but that's was no problem.

If it's a nice day, take a picnic and sit in the vast open field with plenty of other families/groups of people with the same idea.

This is a must-see.

The garden is beautiful to walk around especially in spring and autumn. There is a big open grass space in the center where people can relax and enjoy the sun. Fee is only 200 yen but sometimes they offer it for free.
