Room was larger than others we had stayed at, clean and well appointed. Beds abit hard, lower quality mattress. Quiet. Easy to find map right outside the subway station (hanzomon z05 exit 1). Across from the palace but you are on the back side, so walk around for the main gate. Mostly embassies in the area. Close to the subway and the hanzomon line is not too busy there. Some restaurants in the area and many more about a km away in asakasa. Beautiful view and helpful staff. Good quiet ac. Only question would be location, if you need to be closer to something. In Tokyo though the subway is cheap and fast and nothing is far away.

This hotel has a central location. I had ordered a nonsmoking room, but was given a room which was stinking from smoke. I returned to the reception and asked for another room. They claimed that this was the only room they had. I left the luggage at the reception and returned some hours later. They had managed to arrange a nonsmoking room. The hotel is quite ok but it is the location which is its asset. Nice breakfast in the morning. Their laundry service is excellent.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing towards the Palace.

Can't think of my self staying at American brand hotel and pay $300-500/night like some business travelers. This hotel has everything I need -- small rooms but that's what you get in Tokyo business hotels.

Room - Great view! Small but comfortable. Has everything you need. A/C works fine.
Service - LOL! you are in Japan so there's nothing wrong with it. You can get really good service from subway station staff in Tokyo so.....
Location - AWESOME! especially if you are into running and exercising. One of the most popular place to run. Very close to Hanzomon line.
Restaurants near by - Yes, plenty of them -- all kinds of Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Thai food.

Overall great business hotel with sensible room rates -- somethings AWESOME rates!

we stayed here for 9 days in march. perfect hotel, much more impressive and up market than what we were expecting! we booked an economy double room which was a good, easy size. definitely not too small. and the view was amazing.

only problem we had was trying to find it since google gave us a pretty weird direction! the easiest way is to just take the hanzomon subway line to hanzomon station and make sure you take exit 1 (it stairs up, not escalators, but you will survive). right in front of you will be a big sign showing you to the grand arc. all you need to do is walk directly forward from the exist until you get there.
staff were friendly and spoke perfect english and also gave us a map to the nearest coin laundry since they only have a dry cleaning service. a handful of general stores and a wide range of restaurants within a 5 minute walk around the area.
would definitely return.

Booked a room on special and was surprised how upmarket the hotel is when I arrived. Despite this the staff were extremely friendly and there was no snootiness that one usually associates with a hotel of this level. The rooms were small but very clean and well appointed and the room had a beautiful view of the Imperial palace. Close to Hanzomon metro and the palace but there is not much else to see or do in the area.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room with a view of the palace.

We stayed at the Grand Arc Hanzomon last November for a week. The location is unmatchable, especially if you like to enjoy Tokyo on foot: most of the places are within 30 minutes to 1 hour (e.g. 40 minutes to Shinjuku, 30 minutes to Ginza and Roppongi). The hotel has the best quality-price ratio among those hotels in Tokyo. We´re sure to repeat the stay at the hotel on our next trip to Japan's capital.

If i was traveling on business, this would be the hotel to stay in. Simple, clean, well located, and plenty of restaurants and good staffs who speak acceptable english. However as I came in with kids, we found the room a bit too small and traces of cigarette smokes can be smelled although our room was on non-smoking floor. Everything else was very good as expected in a Japanese hotel. Fast trips up to our room, quick check in and out, nearby mini markets and take out foods, Hanzomon station entrance only 200 meters away, plenty of taxis available if you need one, and easy access to the airport without changing metro lines to get to the Airport Limousine Bus Service. The hotel is not perfect but you also don't have to pay triple the price to be in a perfect one.
