We booked this great hotel via American Express Platinum Travel. The rate normally includes an upgrade in the next room category, free breakfast, a spa voucher of 100$ and early check-in / late check-out. All these benefits are according to availability, the hotel is not compelled to provide them
We were upgraded in a luxury suite of approximately 980 sqf. We obtained free breakfast and a 100$ spa voucher.
The hotel is located in one of Tokyo's best locations : GINZA.
Architecturally talking, it's a modern and design one, occupying 7 floors of a 35 storeys building. However, it has its own entrance so that we are totally independant from the building's activity
Rooms are oversized and decorated with quality furnishings. Zebrano wood pieces are mounted on some walls or on the ceilling increasing the sensation of luxury. Insidie the suite, we didn't hear any noise, doors, walls and ceilings were completely isolated. There was also a lot of technological devices (117 cm 3D plasma screen with glasses, upscale 5.1 home theatre system, air purifier, japanese toilets, electric curtains, intelligent lights system...). Every details were taken care of to create an atomosphere where traveller feels comfortable and at home.
The service was perfect night and day. Whatever your needs are, concierge, reception, or room service staff quickly answer and meet your expectations professionaly and gently.
If you plan to book a fine restaurant, the concierge will recommand the best ones that are not made for tourists. For example, we wanted to dine in an upscale sushi restaurant. The concierge suggested the Seamon. It was really an unforgettable experience (intimate atmosphere, michelin star graded, true sushi masters and great food)
The hotel's main restaurant proposed an inventive cuisine with good ingredients in a room with panoramic views of the city. However, this hotel deserves a better one. If they recruited an uprising Chef (not Alain Ducasse or Gordon Ramsey) and they proposed rich ingredients (foie gras, caviar, lobster, fine fishes and sophisticated meat dishes) together with upscale wines (Petrus, Mouton Rothschild...), this restaurant could get one or 2 michelin stars and could become the place to dine. Such a hotel needs a top class restaurant...
The spa and the fitness room had great amenities and were not crowded. I recommand the free onsen bath, a kind of japanese pool
We travel all around the world and stay in the best palace hotels. This hotel has no opulent style but combines luxury and design. I can assure you, this is the place to stay in Tokyo. It's by far the best hotel in every aspect of your stay
It is highly recommanded.
