Palace Hotel Tokyo
Ranked #1 of 78 Hotels / Ryokan in Chiyoda
Certificate of Excellence

Great location. It is directly connected to Tokyo station with shops and malls just underground. Plus, it is just across the road of the palace park. If you are a 'keep fit' freak, a 5km jog around the scenic palace park would be a chosen activity.

Services are outstanding. It is the sort of quiet courtesy that is most suited for business travelers. Hotel staff in other cities often confused this with the gregarious sorts. They should not assume that all hotel guests wish to be spoken to.

You will have a large TV screen in your room and all channels are in HD. When compared to good hotels in other cities in the East Asian region, this is a bliss. The hot and cold water mixers in the shower works perfectly. The system pays real attention to the details. But for some reasons, power plug converters are not readily installed.

Saturday, January 4th 2014, I and my wife took off around 3am from Cengkareng International Airport, Indonesia by using Garuda GA 844. Initially, we were mad due to the 3.5 hours delay. Though it was annouced nicely but waiting for so long in the lounge was a tough test. The plane was the most modern and brand new Boeing 777. The seat on the business class is fantastic. In a single press of a button, the seat will smoothly transformed into a fully flat bed. The food and the service are among the top quality service like a 5-star hotel. Indonesian and Japanese food are available on the menu. The selection of musics and movies are plenty.

Arrived in Narita Airport. We purposely selected the limousine bus service from the airport to The Palace Hotel, Tokyo. In our previous trips we tried train and taxis. The bus gave us a great travelling experience in the middle of Japan winter. We arrived and warmly welcomed by the doormen of Palace Hotel, Tokyo. The checked in process was so efficient. The room was on the 10th floor. We can enjoy the scenery of surrounding. We were amazed by the tidiness and the cleanliness. Perhaps, the top one from these two measurement. Choices of food are so wide from the coffee shop, lounge and some up scaled restaurants. We can also easily walk to the trains subway station. Plenty of selections of traditional Japanese cuisines around the stations. Bookshops and giftshops are also available.

I and my wife stayed 4 days and 3 nights in Palace Hotel, Tokyo. A great experience.

In short, Palace Hotel is so suitable both for business and holiday. The only not so positive point is that one shall be ready to dig his/her pocket deeper. Though it is not so much differ if compare to similar 5-star hotel that I experienced in big cities of Japan.

We stayed at the Palace Hotel during the first week of January, and we loved it! It is very hard to find a hotel in Tokyo that comes with a balcony, and with such great views. The room itself was top notch, and with morning and evening service. The complimentary gym and pool were well-equipped, although a bit smaller and without the classes that are offered at the Park Hyatt (not complimentary). The underground walkway connecting the hotel to the Otemachi station was convenient, although it is a good 7 to 10 minute walk before you actually get anywhere near a platform. The only complaint we had for this hotel was the lackluster breakfast. For 3500 yen, we expected a little more than what was essentially a continental breakfast. Staff were always available, and most spoke very good English. We will be staying here again!

Stayed here for 4 days on a business trip in November. Excellent rooms, facilities and particularly service. English fluently spoken. Truly a 5 star hotel. Perfect location on subway line and also close to a main JR station. 100 yards from Palace grounds which are well worth a visit.

Opened in less than two years, this hotel is well equipped with not only the best facilities but also the best service minded staffs, and everyone speaks English fluently.
Bedroom was equipped with the latest sophisticated systems such as bathroom mirror tv, motorized curtain and blind, and the latest designed automatic flush toilet!
You will also find many tasty restaurants in the hotel arcade and a 7-11 too.
We stayed in many 5-star hotels in Tokyo, but from now on, Palace hotel will be our only choice of stay.

I stayed here for the first part of my trip to Japan and it was fantastic. The staff all speaks good English and as a result, you feel very comfortable immediately (trust me, that is not a given in Nippon). Rooms are very nice and they are very committed to cleanliness (whcih is a Japanese trait; we should take notes).

IT is also in a perfect and very quiet location. It is basically in the middle of the 7 or 8 places you really need to see. It was very easy to head to Ginza or change gears and go to Shibuya. IT is in the business area (one of them) and thus very, very quiet. I would stay here again if/when I come back to Tokyo (btw, if you haven't been to Tokyo and are debating a trip.....quit thinking and GO! It's a Bucket List city).

In the past 10 years, there are several additions to the Tokyo top hotel list. Most of them belong to international hotel chains (Ritz Carlton, Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, etc) but this one is a genuine Japanese hotel. Before the renovation, this hotel was a tired old establishment whose location was the only reason to stay. Now modern amenity, good size room and good service were added. Many subway lines stop within a short walk distance. It is a great choice especially if you are a business traveler to do something with mainstream Japanese companies in the area.

Room Tip: Even a standard category room has 45 square meter. There is no bad room in this hotel.
