A room balcony and lounge chair to look over downtown Tokyo and the water of the Imperial Palace! One year old, rebuilt and luxurious/modern. Middle of central business district where all major corporations are. Nothing like it. Peninsula, Ritz and Hyatt are great but the Palace location and views are second to none. A new high standard of luxury in Tokyo. Lovely sitting area.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! Everything about it was what a 5-star hotel should be....Pricey, but if you like to splurge or are accustomed to travelling at this level, this hotel is well worth it!

As per all the other reviews, this hotel was excellent at every level of hospitality.

The view over Tokyo and the Palace was stunning.

Our last 2 nights here in Tokyo were a true joy, the people here gave us an incredible experience, the balcony room perfect with all amenities fit for royalty. The club lounge was superb and I would highly recommend a package with the club lounge included. We tried to get into the hotel restaurants but they were fully booked during our stay.
The hotel is well positioned especially with the subway in the basement, a good assortment of small restaurants, cafes and for something different an Irish bar!! catering for all budgets, all down stairs

Here or the conrad both different and amazing - we can't wait to get back!!

Room Tip: Club room or suite

There was a special aromatherapy once you step into the hotel. It was a mixture of perhaps citrus and a wood. The hotel is fitted with art pieces in every corner. Being next to the Palace, yo have the luxury of just walking over and running around the Palace - and inhaling the fresh air that envelops the palace and the hotel.

The staff were ultra attentive.

And last but not least, you must try the special chocolate from the bakery in the basement. They are sheets of chocolate with traditional pattern "engraved" into each sheet of chocolate. The whole packaging is just another experience in an of itself.

The only place that is worth staying in Tokyo.

Fantastic location, literally next to the moat of the imperial gardens. Can walk from Tokyo station (marunouchi exit, walk away from station towards palace, 10-15 minutes). Spacious rooms, many with view of the gardens. Very well- designed bathrooms (tub and shower), many rooms have balcony. Nice gym (24hr), pool costs 20$. Service is impeccable - hotel connects to one of the main subway stops (otemachi) underground. Service is impeccable with most staff speaking fluent English. Inside tip : for people looking for western food there is a French pastry place in the arcade (sweets & deli) which is quite good.

One caution : beds might be a little short for basketball players (I'm 6"1' and it was ok)

Room Tip: Get garden view

This hotel is very conveniently situated close to the Tokyo station. It is a step up from other nice hotels in Tokyo, such as the New Otani, probably because it was rebuilt in 2012. The style chosen is similar to other hotels, so do not expect some out of the box design or unforgettable expereince. Just, a very nice and very modernly conceived hotel.

Location is quite ideal for Tokyo: five minutes away from Tokyo station, the hotel is connected to Otemachi metro station, which is the biggest in Tokyo, and it's beside the Imperial Garden. Hard to find a more connected place ...

Rooms are big, very nicely conceived, and with probably the best mattress I ever slept on. TV channels are, as usual, rather scarce in Japan. Courtesy of staff is very good.

As a side note, if bars could be open a bit longer, that would be great for us jet-lagged people, but I understood it was Tokyo regulations that did not allow this ...

By the way, all the fanciness comes for a price - so, if you are prepared to pick up a hefty price tag, then this hotel is the best you can find.

We stayed at the Palace at the end of April for our first trip to Japan. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the service was fantastic. I can echo all the other reviewers great comments about the standard of rooms, amenities, etc.
We were on holiday, not on a business trip, and we loved the location. Unlike some other major hotels, you can easily walk to great shops and restaurants. Marunouchi is a vibrant up-market area which is really smart. The access to the subway under the hotel was a bonus.
We stayed in a club room and must mention the service from the girls in the club lounge. They were really friendly and helpful - and they made a special fuss of me on my birthday which was much appreciated! They really were delightful.
I can't wait to visit Japan again and would stay at this hotel in a heartbeat!
