This is probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. After a lot of research, I selected this location because direct access to multiple subway lines. We booked a twin room. Two twin beds are pretty comfortable. No top sheet only a comforter. Toilet has heated seat and multiple spray settings. Soaker tub and rain shower head. Beware, there tub area is enclosed in glass so you should only room with someone you wouldn't mind seeing naked. There is not a lot of privacy. The staff is very friendly. Wonderful views but not many eating options nearby so eat before returning for the night. There is a nice gym and swimming pool but you must be 18 so no children. Free wifi.

Visiting Tokyo for the first time, this hotel left me with a fantastic impression. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful.the rooms are large (so I have been told, for Tokyo standards) with the bathrooms from heaven. The water pressure is amazing! The hotel's conveniently situation on a main Metro intersection which is accessible directly from the hotel, along with a very handy 7-11 and coffee shop.
I was worried that the hotel is in a night-life dead zone and to be fair, it is. But it doesn't really matter due to those metro lines, and actually if you are a walker like me, it only takes 30 mins to walk from Ginza or Harajuku after a nice dinner (and you could not feel safer walking these Tokyo streets after dark!)
Will definitely stay again.

10+ nights here during a work trip and it was a great place to come "home" to each evening. Stayed in a Deluxe King room on the 21st floor which was quite large and comfortable. The bathroom and shower/tub area were the nicest of any hotel I have ever stayed in; the rainshower head, stone flooring and tremendous water pressure/temperature were an unbeatably luxurious combination.

I also wanted to mention that the rooms have awesome sound insulation; I never heard a peep from next door and felt I could play music (though the in-room wired sound system!) moderately loud without disturbing anyone.

I was not on the executive floor and thus did not have free access to lounge or gym/spa/pool, but the difference in price for the upgrade was very steep at an already somewhat-expensive hotel. That said I think it was quite a good value for the level of luxury provided in an expensive city - I have a hard time imagining the Park Hyatt is provides that much more for 2x the money (but I've never stayed there so cannot really say).

The staff was pleasant and helpful 110% of the time, particularly the concierge was very patient with non-Japanese speakers trying to navigate the city. I did not spend money in the hotel restaurants which were quite pricey; ate breakfast each morning at Starbucks in the attached metro station. In fact I could get from my bed to my desk at the customer site (several miles away) without going outside at all, which made work days easy with no worries about the weather. Also the hotel's excellent complementary guest wifi system was speedy, great for staying in touch with the home office and family.

Great Central location, great views, nearby Akasaka has hundreds of dining choices, excellent Metro connectivity: you could do much worse than to choose this hotel for your Tokyo visit.

This is where I would stay every time I visit Tokyo henceforth. One gem of a hotel, the Residence Inn is truly a world class accommodation. I was here a few weeks back with my family comprising of my wife and our kid Jacob. It was a wonderful stay. The rooms are large, clean and well –stocked with modern amenities, such as extra pillows, mini-refrigerator, closets and satellite television. The Wi-Fi was free but wasn’t really the best. The connection wasn’t very stable. The staffs were very helpful and charming. We had got ourselves a room on the upper floors which offered us some great view. The lower floors did not appeal to us mostly because the room windows overlook the parking lot. The breakfast was a sheer delight here. Lot of varieties and some wonderful decorated serving. The location of the Hotel is perfect for sightseeing and visiting most places around.

That old saying 'you get what you pay for' describes this Hotel, excellent location for transport links, and lots a short 5-10 Minutes away.

The room I had was in the corner and had an amazing view, and was huge for Tokyo standards.

I didn't rank it excellent because I always believe everything can be better, or at least people/hotels should shrive for this.

There is even a 7/11 in the basement level, and that's also where the metro station is.

My one gripe is I turned up at 7 am at the hotel after a long flight, and was told I needed to wait 4 hours, not exactly what you want to hear in that situation, but hey ho, and breakfast is quite expensive, but that's what you get in an expensive hotel I guess.

I have to agree with most others-- the rooms are well designed, a good size, fabulous bathrooms, and, if lucky, offer interesting views. Corner rooms with twin beds are large and lined with windows. Service is excellent, but note English is not spoken by many because thIs is not your typical Western tourist hotel.

If you need to be in this section of Tokyo for business, I would highly recommend. Also, very easy to connect to other parts of city because, as noted by others, the hotel sits over a subway station that serves three lines. There also is plenty to see and do in the neighborhood (Akasaka), with Hie Shrine right next door, shopping and restaurants a short walk (although depending on the route you take, up or down many stairs).

Member of iPreferred group. Lovely restaurants. Breakfast, if not part of stay package, is very expensive.

Overall price to quality ratio is excellent--I think it would be difficult to find a nicer hotel in city center for the price.

Room Tip: I liked room looking overlooking the shrine. I have never been there during a time of year to see M...

Stayed here for four nights on Feb 6-10. Thursday arrival was flawless, room spectacular, upgraded to 23rd floor suite with great day/night view of Tokyo. Wow.

Friday did jet-lag recovery and walkabout, chilly and breezy but sunny. Met nephew and Japanese wife for dinner, saw "The Other Tokyo" with an interpreter, (his wife) yet ! Handy.
Saturday, the worst blizzard in 45 years hit Tokyo; some 8000 stranded overnight at Narita, and all my excursions cancelled, including bullet train to Mt. Fuji and Tokyo environs tour. Bummer,
But...was "stranded" in my great hotel room with great view of downtown Tokyo, and great (costly) hotel dining room menu and fine service, and very fast internet (complimentary, ran at 11mBps, fast!). Could have been worse, you betcha.

Sunday melt-off started, but Tokyo not prepared for such an epochal storm, so there was little walking space on sidewalks. Boarded my cruise ship in Yokohama Monday afternoon, and off to more adventures from there on Monday, March 10.

Note: Room TV's remote had selection of channels, most in Japanese; and the remote was ALL in Japanese. Confusing. Fortunately, I have "SlingBox" from DishTV, whereby I can access over the Net, my home DVR, so could watch Denver and Dish offerings while stuck in the blizzard. Otherwise, we all know to bring along a book, right? Maybe two, or a "Reader" with many books...

Would stay again, atop this Hill where the Capitol is located, for sure. Escalators from street levels to the Hotel, so very convenient.

Room Tip: City view room on higher floor was great. Note: room service says to allow at least ONE HOUR to serv...
