Having spent a lot of time in many different hotels around the world, it is always special to come back to the Capitol Hotel in Tokyo. Beautifull and spacious rooms with great view on the city, superb service and excellent amenities, everything to make your stay enjoyable. If you really want to feel you are an important client, spend some time there.

I went there together with my six years old daughter, she likes this hotel very much, especially the big bath tub. This is a real five stars hotel with outstanding service and great location, very closed to the JR and metro station, good for the city hopping

This is a wonderful hotel with outstanding service and fantastic rooms. Although the location at first appears peculiar, in the end everything works together perfectly with great access to the metro and easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The accommodations are unusually large, especially for Japan, and impeccably maintained. The interior decoration is impressive and combines with incredible, highly-discreet service to create an atmosphere of serenity and total comfort for the traveler.

At first glimpse the Capitol Hotel may appear to be in a far-from-ideal location, nestled in an area surrounded by government offices (and the nearby Diet). However, we found the location perfect. Close enough to walk to Ginza or Roppongi in about 45mins, plenty of restaurants/bars within 10mins walk in Akasaka and right on top of 2 metro stations giving you easy access to 4 or 5 lines. We like to walk and had no problem accessing Shinjuku and Shibuya on foot from here, but taking the metro would also have been a very simple option.
So location was great but what made the stay great for us was the room. Large by any international standard, and huge by Tokyo standards, our room looked over the nearby shrine and was as quiet as a church. Housekeeping (who we never even saw) do a wonderful job and the room was serviced and spotlessly clean whenever we returned from a day out.
The bathroom was a joy with a vast walk-in shower as well as a deep soaker bath. Service was wonderful (as is so often the case in Japan). The bed was very comfortable (although the mattress was quite hard so this may not suit those that like a softer surface to sleep on). With the A$ so strong (and the Yen so weak), it even worked out quite cheap...we paid around A$230 per night during our 6 night stay, although individual day rates varied over that time.
Free wireless internet in the room was fast and reliable. The fitness centre is good, and open (and staffed) from very early to very late.
We didn't eat at any of the three restaurants.
We really could find nothing to fault the hotel on and will certainly return next time we visit Tokyo

I stayed there for 3 nights in April 2013. My room was reserved on the Club level and the service and appointments were outstanding! Views from my room were fantastic, day and night.
I was skeptical of the location but the subway access in the basement soon put me at ease. The staff were extremely helpful and the service was above par!

Room Tip: Choose the Club level if possible. The lounge is a welcome retreat!

We just spent a week here, and it was an outstanding experience. The hotel itself has beautiful decoration, such as the lobby flower arrangements; the room is spacious for Tokyo and charming with a sliding panel (you can see in some of the photos), and the location is excellent for business or sightseeing: the Hie Shrine just outside the front door, walking distance to the Imperial Palace, subway trains from several lines accessible from the basement level, nearby restaurants in Akasaka (so you don't have to eat only at the expensive but first-rate hotel restaurants). What was really outstanding was the uniformly special level of service. Any small requests we had were taken care of with a smile and grace - there is definitely an attitude of being eager to provide service to the guest that is truly exemplary, and really made the experience for us.

Room Tip: Some on Tripadvisor say to ask for a room overlooking the Hie Shrine. We didn't, and got a room...

Stayed there 3 weeks for work and it was like being home in the end, hotel staff very professional and plesant, and room quality second to none, everything in perfect condition, and impressive sound proofing. Restaurant a bit pricy but this is Tokyo standard anyway.
