We should of known right as we pulled up to the hotel all the valet were fawning over a Bentley. We got out of the cab carried our own bags to the front desk...
We were give a nice room on the top floor. (we did pay for this) We made our way there alone.
We didn't love the lay out of the room. you have to walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom area. It was nice and good size, just not a fan of the lay out.
We were asked if we wanted turn down and we said yes, at 7pm, it never happened.
We went shopping our first day and got back to our room at 1:30pm and no one had been there to service it. They said they were busy? We asked them to do it at 10am the next day and they did.
We went to the bar and were always given good service there. Note that all outlets are on the first few floors and have no view.
The breakfast was excellent and the service was perfect in the bar and at breakfast.
We went to the gym and it was nice, everything you need. We asked for a massage at the spa and there was no available appointments for us.
I was asked to wear a rash guard and a swim cap in the pool, because I have a tattoo on my back, I left. the layout of the locker room and the gym and the spa is more like a maze and on two floors. I got lost and wearing the tiny slippers I felt kinda stupid.
The club lounge is tired. The staff in there were nice but the food was very sparse and the room itself was not impressive at all. There is a good view.
We asked for a reservation in the Chinese restaurant and we were told that it is not possible. We were not offered a very early reservation or a very late one or even delivered to our room, just "no" you can't eat there today.
Seemed strange to be staying in such a nice hotel on the Club level and being shut out of all the services that a great hotel should offer to it's guests.
It really is a shame that TA people are ranking this property so high and fools like us are going and staying there and giving them our good cash.
I really think that we were treated like second class citizens.
I'm ranking very low in hopes to bring down their ranking.
