“A Small Gem”

While the hotel rooms are certainly on the small side the quality of the furnishings certainly made my stay quite comfortable. It's a newer hotel so the room showed zero wear. The neighborhood of Akihabara closes early but I definitely found it much more pleasant than Shinjuku or Shibuya.

Room Tip: The higher floors can have some incredible views.

Because of a last minute decision to travel to Tokyo, we were desperate to find a place to stay and remm Akihabara had a double room for a family of four so we booked without really knowing much about the hotel or area. We were not disappointed in any way. The hotel is within 2 minutes of Akihabara station and in a interesting part of Tokyo. One transfer from Narita, direct train to Haneda and trains in all directions.
Our room was small but with a great view and a shower second to none. We were on the 15th floor and just loved everything, very clean, small fridge and a safe that held our laptops though I don't really think it was necessary. There were dozens of restaurants in the area, including a tapas bar right across the street that stays open til 330am. (great if you have a bit of jet-lag like we did).
We will definitely consider staying at remm Akihabara again.

This is my second time here. Remm Akihabara still nice as last time I visited. Hotel staffs are friendly and always smile. Twinbed rooms are very clean and comfortable. This time we didn't have breakfast here, so no idea if they have any change from my last visited. Stayin near Akihabara station can make your life easier, many things to eat, easy transportation, many shops to shop and nightlife.

We stayed 5 nights and we did not regret choosing Remm.
Location is extraordinary. JR Akihabara station steps away, right by the hotel. Ueno, Tokyo, Asakusa stations all within 5-7min subway ride... Ginza and Shibuya few minutes further away.

Surrounded by other hotels, shops and restaurants, found Denny's across the street a great breakfast option. Double rooms worked ok for us, even when these are small... But ok for Japan standards.

Rain shower with very hot water, complimentary tea always available at front desk, shower gel with sweet almond aroma (loved it!), nice view to the street, fresh towels daily and all modern... Plus all the shops in walking distance... Just great!

Last morning, they offered locking up our luggage most of the day for free. Staff was so attentive and nice! If we ever go back to Tokyo, we will stay @ Remm Akihabara again!

I stayed here last April for a week on business. I was blown away by how nicely appointed the tiny little rooms are. They have definitely used the space very wisely. The Remm is right next to the Akihabara train station, so getting around was very easy. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful. They were great with directions to help us out as neither me or my colleague speak Japanese or knew the area. The hotel is located in a complex with a lot of dining options. We tried all of the restaurants there and they were all great. The sushi bar was my favorite. Try the torch seared salmon.
We had a meeting in the Korean BBQ restaurant and it was a perfect setting for business as they put us in a private room with a dedicated server.

Modern designed hotel with very well equipped rooms. Hi-tech styled room, black and glass. Perfect cleanliness. There is a good massage-chair in the room, but the room is so small you must choose from leaning back the chair or using the foot-rest. I suggest to lean the chair back.
Hotel starts on 6. floor. Hotel located very close to Akihibara Station.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 1206 and had the most magnificent view to the moon during the night. Also nice view...

We stayed here on our first night in Tokyo, before moving to an apartment. It's a great place to begin your Tokyo experience because Akihabara is full of all the Tokyo quirkiness you've seen on TV - pachenko parlours, maid cafes, electronics heaven, etc.
The hotel is right outside Akihabara station (follow the signs for JR Central Gate and then take a right turn out of the station, the hotel entrance is just past Starbucks). The hotel is actually above a small shopping mall which has Uniqlo and Muji outlets.
The whole place has a modern, almost futuristic feel to it. Staff were helpful and spoke english.

We arrived in the morning time due to our flight time and hoped for an early check-in. They wanted $55 to check in 4 hours early which we didn't accept. This was our only negative experience, but made a big difference to our day as we were very tired after flying all night. So we spent the next 4 hours wandering the streets in a daze.

Our room, a semi-double, was great. I don't want to say small, because it's really the typical size for Tokyo. But the bathroom was great, amazing shower and funny futuristic Japanese toilet which is standard for Japan! Seriously high-end toiletries (Shiseido brand). The room was quiet, AC totally silent and there is a great city view from the window.

Breakfast ($11 extra) is arranged with a over-priced cafe in the mall below and would not appeal to those hoping for a western meal. We didn't go for it and with the abundance of great food in Tokyo, you shouldn't either, it looked awful.

Overall, 4 stars - 2 for Akihabara and 2 for the hotel :)
