A ninja themed restaurant sounds quite naff but this place is well worth a visit. The interior is excellent and the English speaking ninja was great. The magic show at the table was fantastic. Do yourself a favour and head along.

“OK for the family. Don't bring your business clients.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

It is quite an interesting set up but expensive and the atmosphere is not for business entertainment. If you are bringing your family from the overseas and want to have a fun evening, then, this could be one of the options. Otherwise, I would not go there by myself or take my business clients.

“You are paying for the show”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

Yes, the theme is really cool - everyone is dressed like a ninja and the restaurant really looks like a ninja castle, and they throw some surprises (really cool card show, and some burnt food).

The food is above average, but can't, by any mean, justify the price. As a couple we've paid ~15000 yen - it is important to note that the price don't include 10% service charge, and that the 'set menus' don't include drinks.

Note that the dishes are pretty small - which is completely fine if you order the set meal (which include a lot of dishes) - so don't be tempted by simply ordering 2 - 3 dishes.

“Awesome atmosphere with a few surprises”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

With a name like NINJA you might expect it to be a bit quirky, and the restaurant doesn't disappoint in this department, with waiters dressed as Ninjas and occasional scares and/or magic tricks which make the meal more enjoyable. In a sense the theatrics just distract from the slightly overpriced food with excessively small dishes though.

I was definitely not full afterwards, and while the quality of the food was still on par with most of the mid-range Izakayas, the price was slightly higher. When you factor in the entertainment and novelty of it, I'd still say its worth it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I still continue to recommend the restaurant to anyone I know who wants a unique dining experience in Japan, it really is a must-go just for the sheer coolness of the concept, and the execution is not too bad.

If I ever heard back from someone that the theatrics slipped or disappointed though, that would make it just an over-priced izakaya.

“Great fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

This place is pretty novel. If you are tall, you have to be careful as their are some low ceilings, but the ninja restaurant is fun! The food isn't remarkable, but it is not bad. The show and the novelty is what you are going to go for, great for kids.
