We have all heard that Japan is one of its kind and that Tokyo is a World City with no parallel. I was pleasantly surprised to understand what that truly meant.

The cultural feel to the hotel and its environs is unique. The location is good with proximity to entertainment and activity zones. There are plentiful choices for dining close to the hotel. The rooms are compact and with adequate facilities for a business traveler. I took a Non-Smoking room which had a sports motif in the most ingenuous of places, including crockery. Elegant design is another hidden gem that one can catch in various locations within the hotel. The restaurant is expansive and carries various types of cuisine. There is a LAN cable for Internet in the room. Probably the in-room dining menu could be improved since it practically has no options for vegetarians. The absence of a fitness center is another drawback.

Two suggestions that I would like to make - always carry cash since a lot of restaurants around the hotel do not accept credit cards and do keep 15 - 20 minutes of buffer time to catch a taxi in the morning.

I usually stay at Tokyo Dome Hotel when visiting Tokyo University. About $100/night. The rooms are clean but small. Bed is comfortable. Nice desk with power outlet (not a given at some hotels). Free in-room internet. Good location. Short walk to Grand Palace for jogging. 20 min walk or one subway stop to Tokyo University. Three stops to Ueno station. Narita bus goes directly to the hotel, takes about one hour.

Downside: Elevators can be slow. No hotel gym, although there is a big gym nearby on the other side of the stadium, and the hotel has a discount. About $20.

This hotel is a good place to stay. friendly atmosphere and nice rooms with a nice view.
Breakfast is always a little busy, but quality of the buffet is good. Power sockets are difficult to find in the room and at inconvenient places, so charging PC and telephone is not made easy.
Very handy is the on of button ofr the airco next to you bed, so incase it gets to cold or warm in the room you can easily swtich on/off the airco, so you don't need to get out of your bed during the night.

Staff were very friendly & helpful, rooms were always spotlessly clean. Very good location for our 2 children with plenty of things to do, close to train station & 7 eleven underneath. Rooms were a good size compared to other Japanese Hotels, we were there for a week & this was fine for the 4 of us. Wi-fi is only 300 yen for your entire stay & we had no problems at all with it.

Will definately stay here again.

The hotel is a good business hotel - it's clean, in a convenient location. The bed is not that great, and the rooms are a little worn/dated. I would stay here again for business, but not holiday. The breakfast is decent, good variety.

The lifts take *forever*, make sure you allow enough time to depart your floor, as well as wait in line to get to your floor (depending on time of day)

Stayed one night (booked by travel agent).
Pros:
- Ok location
- Decent size (for Japan) room and bathroom
- Very clean
- Usual amenities, although there is a charge for making coffee in the room
- Complimentary high speed wired internet in room

Cons:
- Elevators are small and too few, generating lines during peak hours
- Front desk staff speaks poor English
- Hefty charge for WiFi in room
- No gym. To use a nearby gym there is a charge of 2,100 yen per person per visit and opening hours are limited (no evening hours)
- Breakfast was ok, mostly Japanese with a very limited selection of western items

We stayed here for 1 night to see a Tokyo Giants game.

Pro's:
1) Room was nice and medium size
2) AC was quiet and efficent
3) Bed was not super hard which can be an issue in Japan as they tend to be very hard mattresses.
4) Great location for the game and also for the nearby JR trains.

Con's:
1) Not enought elevators (or at least in service?) for a hotel this large. Seemed like I would wait a long time to get down from the 37th floor.
2) Went and had a late lunch at 43rd floor. Host was confused about lunch being served and we were seated in front of a window with a nice view but they had built this large wooden pattern on the window that partially blocked the view.
3) The food at the cafe was mediocre and drinks were way overpriced. 670 yen for a coke!
4) One English channel (BBC news)
