“Centre of town”
Reviewed February 8, 2011

The hotel is right on main street. It's very noisy all night long. I didn't get a lot of sleep. But it's close to the airport and ATM's, and inexpensive restaurants are nearby. The meals at the hotel restaurant are delicious and they have a piano player performing every evening. The rooftop pool is small, but very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's quite a drive to the beach - maybe 45 minutes by tricycle. The hotel staff does arrange tours of the islands, but if you want the beach, it may be better to stay on Panglao Island.
I'd recommend this hotel for one or two day stay, but not for a long term stay.

One is best advised to stay in a superior room (rather than the standard older rooms). The superior B room was clean and functional with a matrimonial-sized bed that was very comfortable. One of the great things about this hotel is its fantastic staff. They are so friendly and welcoming. Just a great bunch of people. The free breakfast should be supplemented with an additional breakfast order: this way one will have a good breakfast for a very reasonable price. The food is excellent at this hotel. The "fish in chips" is some of the best I have ever tasted (the pyre of fish was quite unique) and the marine fetuccini was excellent as well. Though the swimming pool is small, you will probably have it all to yourself in the morning. The hotel's adjacent store has all the food and souvenirs you will need, plus the hotel offers discount coupons. The business center is reasonably priced at fifty pesos per hour (time can be used in more than one session) and the Internet connection is very fast. This hotel, with its convenient location, is a great base from which to explore the many attractions of Bohol.

PROS: Very near the airport, convenience store, malls, fastfood restaurants, drugstore, souvenir shops, etc., clean room, friendly staffs, free shuttle service, wifi-ready, with swimming pool (small), fitness gym, billiard table, table tennis, sauna, jacuzzi, disco house, complete cable tv channels, gives al lot of discount passes on various shops nearby, provides discount on you next visit.

CONS: Water utility is hard, exposed cabinet (no cabinet door) complimentary breakfast is light (served in few slices of bread, fruits and drinks only), sugar ants invade quicky so refrain from bringing foods inside, some rooms have no windows, elevator has no safety open doors (always push & hold the open button when entering/leaving)

The service was nice and the food is great. However, the room is small and you can hardly move around. Not advisable for long stay. We stayed there for one night.

Stayed here for two nights with family in a couple of their "deluxe" rooms which of course makes you believe that they will be something special.Wrong!!!!!.
The room was very ordinary and of a quality which is just barely acceptable really.
I will point out that their are three standards of room below the deluxe you can choose to stay in but all I can say is you are brave if you do.
Our rooms were old and not well maintained with the normal stained carpet and dirty tiles in the bathroom.
However the worst thing was the linen on the beds which was clean but worn out till the point where some of our sheets had big holes in them.
Our rooms view out of the one window it had was looking straight into the next rooms window about 2 metres away.
The hotel has breakfast included in the price but don't be fooled as the choices are very minimal and the portions extremely small.
Both mornings when we had breakfast we were sat at tables which wobbled badly making dining more like being on a ship so if you fancy a cruise save your money and come to the Metrocentre.
The only positive things I can say about this hotel really is its location which is very central and close to everything of note in Tagbilaran and its ok fitness centre and pool on the roof. The downstairs reception area of the hotel is nice but I suspect this is just to lull you into a false sense of confidence so you will think it is good and pay your money before changing your mind after looking at the rooms.
Basically to me this place seems to have a staff which do their best with what they are given but the managers/owners let them down badly by not investing enough money in the basics like linen and tables which in the end give you a less than positive impression of the place.

As its name implies, the hotel is indeed at the center of the city. Though the hotel's front desk service baffled me to no end , the restaurant lounge more than made up for it. We made reservations three weeks early and for some reason, when we arrived, they lost our names in the list and we had to wait around 45 minutes for them to sort everything out. The room was acceptable but nothing special. The bathroom at least was clean. Pillows were too flat and the blankets crocheted and weird. TV remote was busted. The walls were not soundproof and we could hear almost everything in the next room. But since we were just there to sleep, i'd rate it as ok. Breakfast was inclusive and the restaurant staff treated us very, very well. The food was ok -- bacon for breakfast was crispy and delicious but the coffee at times was terribly bitter and tasted like a long standing brew. But the same restaurant staff gladly cooked us early breakfast (3AM) when we requested for it before leaving for Balicasag. In the middle of our stay, the front desk called us up in the middle of the night (11PM), woke us up from sleep and asked us if we were going to check out the next day. We said no and they insisted that we were supposed to check out. The hell we were. We still had two days to go. Were they going to throw us out in the streets? They finally realized how ridiculous they must have sounded because the girl on the line eventually said that they would take care of everything.
The good thing about staying here is because of its location-- most of the shuttles of all the other resorts and hotels pass here daily to pick up guests. They also have the only 24 hour gift shop and grocery store right in front of the entrance. They are also near the BQ mall and within tagbilaran city itself. It's a 5 minute walk to the cathedral and the park which is beautiful at night . They also have daily shuttles to and from the airport and is only 30 minutes away from the nearest beach resort -- Panglao Island Nature Resort (same owner) and a far cry from the hotel.
Dont expect too much but it's a decent place to stay in.
