“Green Verde Resort Review”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Stayed 2 nites at Green Verde in February, 2013. Location is superb. Rooms are small but clean. 1st nite the only thing available was a small room with a shared bath which was a bit primitive. You had to use a broom to sweep shower water down the drain. 2nd nite got what they call a family room with private bath. Much better. Restaurant food was good, but no beer or other alcohol. Restaurant was not open Sunday morning for breakfast. Everyone went to church. Had to next door to get breakfast. Laundry service is next day- was good. Beautiful site,
attractive exteriors.

Room Tip: What they refer to as a single room is pretty tight quarters with a shared bath. If you can affor...

Overall It was a pleasant stay.
The location and price made up for all the inconveniences like limited electricity, mosquitos, no TV or A/C and they did not have any insecticide available
Food was good however. My daughter and I liked the fresh grilled seafood.
Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful at all times. Could use more training.
I noticed they all were around the kitchen area most of the time and only 2 or 3 would actually talk with the guests.

Proximity to The adjoining Sheridan resort filled in the gaps, We had Good music, salads Pizzas , Banana Splits and tea at night facing the ocean.. very nice

I would stay there again if on a limited budget. Its probably one of the best at that level in the area

Im Canadian, female 35 years old. I stayed here with two other girls in their 20's from New Zealand - Jan 2013. The 3 of us are used to Asian travel - so for us this place was perfect. Location, price, and our own little cabin on the beach. The food was some of the BEST I've eaten ever. Ever! I was to go back just to reorder their veg curry.... lastly, they had a young girl 15 years old helping out, her name was Ivy. She was an absolute sweetheart. She helped teach me to "properly" hand wash my clothes, and no matter how much I tried she would not even take a tip from me. When travelling in Asia, and paying so little for accommodations if you can understand that these are not 4+ star hotels and you will love this place :)

We booked through Agoda and apparently they 'never informed us of the booking' and they were fully booked. They put is in a VERY basic hotel right at the other end of the beach. (dirty no hot water) They said it was the same price but I doubted it and no offer was made to refund us. We had breakfast at Green Verde which was OK. Do not expect fast service anywhere, they take forever to take ur order. We also had lunch there which was ok. I would recommend going for lunch at the Sheridan as its a good price BUT check the buffet first somedays it good some days it isnt - they wont mind u walking round to look. The massage at the Sheridan is also great and worth the extra price for the aircon or abit cheaper if u fancy it on the beach.

I would stay one or two nights in Sebang see the river and enjoy the beach and move on. The underground river isnt the most amazing thing but a nice trip.

If you are moving on from Sebang to El nido get the green buses. DO NOT pay to get a 'air conditioned van' from the little stall at the beginning of the beach. They overcrowd it and vans are very old and ours borke down. Its a long drive and most of the way doesnt not even have a road. Allways ask to see the car or find enough ppl to hire a private one.

Ok stay, cheap prices and good location, however the managers are not very honest people. They charged my boyrfriend and I 2000 pesos to provide us with a shared boat and 2 permits for the Underground River. This should have been less than 1000 for both of us (we later found out from other people staying in the resort). Later on we paid them 1800 (900 pesos each) for a van that would take us to El Nido. We advised the mgr we could not make the trip because we had no more cash however he said the driver would take us to Roxas to withdrawl money from the ATM. Well there was no ATM and we got shared a super crowded van to El Nido. Dont do business with them! I dont recommend it.

Recently stayed at the Green Verde for a couple of nights to allow us to visit the underground river. The cabins are right on the beach making it an ideal location but the accommodation is very basic - a bit like camping out indoors. A bed, toilet and shower were the only amenities but is was Ok for a couple of days.

Room Tip: Try to obtain a cabin with the ocean view from the front balcony.

We should have passed up this restaurant, but we wanted to try the local fish.  Didn't think a local place could be expensive....Portions were small and prices high as compared to our hotel even!  Food was slow to be prepared even though we were the only customers!  No milk shakes or cold drinks because they had not turned on the power generator.  Sabang beach is remote, so we are at our hotel (Daluyon) the rest of our stay with no regrets.
