Don´t expect a luxury hotel,it a basic and friendly guest house to stay with your family and friends, strategic location for visiting Junin, Huancayo, Chanchamayo, where you can drive in one hour and enjoy the landscape, local food and costumes.
The relationship price-quality is OK

We enjoyed our stay at the Normandie, but I definitely agree with the other reviews. There are cleanliness issues and this isn't a refined hotel. But, it is a nice and peaceful location - and a good value for the cost. The area is beautiful and Ricardo, who helps out at the hotel, was a fountain of knowledge for regional travel. The restaurant was pretty basic but good enough. The management definitely tries here, but they still need to do more.

Both my wife and I have more than 40 years combined experience in the hotel industry and we found this "hotel" to be the worst ever: doors that do not close, bathrooms not cleaned, no hot water, extremely noisy and worst of all: after checking three rooms and tired of rejecting them, finally settled for a room that had mold on the ceiling! The manager was the ownner's son and had no excuse for any. This hotel should be demolished and rebuilt, but we were told that the municipality did not want it done so it remains there. If you already have reservation and have to go there, check everything before settling down.

Room Tip: Look for another hotel away from Muruhuay
