This is a place, not easy to reach. We have rented a car in Lima and traveled through Perù (Paracas, Nazca, Arequipa, Colca, Puno, Cuzco) never meeting any serious problem in finding our directions except in this case. But the efforts are well rewarded: the hotel is not particularly luxurious, and all told is quite simple. But it is the simplicity of elegance. Everything is always correct, and its location is simply fantastic. The pleasure of bathing in thermal water's pools amidst the peaks of the mountain is incomparable

After our day travelling around the Colca Canyon we arrived at our hotel and our only regret is we didn't get there earlier. Beautiful location. Great rooms and attentive staff. Quick bag drop to our room and then we headed to the hot springs which were lovely. We stayed in them till it turned dark. We headed to the bar area for drinks and snacks and again the ambience of the area was great. If you are in this area this must be the go to hotel. Fantastic place .

me and my family loved this place! loved the hot springs, the rooms, the food, the care. absolutely lovely! The location of the lodge is amazing, with its view, and its proximity to the ruins... it was wonderful to just walk around and explore. we travelled with 2 kids (age 8 and 12), and we all LOVED it!

Colca Lodge and Spa is remote. 4 hrs. by road from the nearest airport Arequipa, and then another 1/2 hr. from the nearest town, Chivay, where restaurants and local music "hotspots" are located. So if you're expecting excitement and uninterrupted internet connectivity, don't come here, stay somewhere in Chivay.
However, if you don't mind the remoteness and don't have expectations of amenities such as internet and entertainment, and simply looking at relaxing (maybe spa, maybe hot springs, maybe reading on the patio), after a day of exploring the region, go for it as you won't be disappointed. The staff is extremely helpful, the spa pretty amazing for a spot in the middle of nowhere. What blew me away is that the chef prepared a bbq for us (2 of us), upon request. They do advertise it, but because it's low season, the bbq pit wasn't prepped that day. I have been refused service for less reason (can't do it for just 2 people, don't have hot water etc. etc), but they carted the charcoal down from the lodge above to the riverside grill, built the flame, and 45 min. later, we had beautiful grilled alpaca, trout and sides!
In summary, don't go if you're expecting service as you might in the local Holiday Inn. Go there if you're looking for extreme R&R in a beautiful, outstanding location matched with great service.

We stayed here for one night with our family (2 adults and 3 teenagers). It wasn't long enough and we wished from the moment we arrived that we were staying longer! The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The rooms had two beds downstairs and two upstairs in the loft area. The bathroom was lovely and well appointed. The highlight of the property are the hot springs which are free to use and in beautiful surrounds. The bar alongside is perfect! Wonderful pisco sours and chilcanos! The spa looked wonderful and we wished we had time to visit. The restaurant was great for both dinner and breakfast. The only downside of the stay was the poor wifi (which didn't worry the adults but the teens predictably complained). Big thumbs up!
