We have been going regularly to the Lakes since its opening and have always enjoyed the food.
The owners Joy and Jose are brilliant hosts and have created a beautiful building with great views over the landscaped lakes.
Just had the Sunday Lunch which was excellent.
We had the Rib of Beef and the Vegetarian option which was a Goats cheese lasagne. The vegetables were fresh very good and plentiful. The caramelised Parsnips are especially good.
This is not your usual Sunday Pub lunch it’s in a different class yes slightly more expensive than the local Pubs but much better food.

We had read reviews for this restaurant so decided to give it a try with our family, a table of 10 was clearly too much for the moody staff to deal with, 3 dishes missed from the order and nothing at all on the menu for the small children. No one asked if we wanted more drinks or if the food was ok which we thought was unusual. The second visit the kids were left out of the event thinking maybe the children threw the staff off course but yet again 2 dishes missed from a table of 8 and the level of service right from ordering was moody and nonchalant, again very poor service regarding table clearing, drink refills and the desert menu was an eternity arriving. The third and final visit was for the highly praised “tapas” night, again 8 people and again 2 dishes missed from the order. This time we complained about the dishes missed to which the waitress replied “oh” not sorry or i will sort it just “oh” and again 40 minuets wait from the last person finishing to the arrival of the desert menu...... A Very Poor experience Again but never again.

We were away for a weekend in Skegness and decided to go out for Sunday Lunch, according to the stars this was a good place to visit. We had no problem booking a table for 7 which included 2 children. The Sunday Lunch menu was a bit limited, choice of beef, pork, chicken, salmon and vegetarian option. There was no children's menu, only a smaller version of the main. We all chose a starter which was very good but then the main came out. Three of us had ordered the pork expecting succulent meat but no, it was dry. Roast parsnips on the plate were burnt and inedible. Yorkshire puddings were huge but overcooked and so dry. Vegetables were undercooked and in the case of the cauliflower was as hard as it is in it's raw state so was probably dipped in boiling water for a minute. Overall it was a disappointing and expensive experience.
