Although we had a lovely dinner, we are afraid to say we couldn't relax and make conversation as there were some large tables which over powered the restaurant and also the bar area as it is all open planned. But we intend to try it again but we will hope to go when it is quieter. I must also point out that the desserts are quite heavy and full of cream so be warned and be careful in your choice.

Great varied menu, amazing fillet steak. I had the small 5oz Fillet for £10. It didn't seem that small, and it was big on flavour, just melted in your mouth. Nice atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff, Could recommend highly, its a must if your heading to lincolnshire.

Can't fault the greeting and service. Welcomed on entering, sat in the bar with menu's to peruse, drinks came quickly, menu chioces looked promising and well done for using and showing the local provenance of your suppliers - nice to see. Table service was good, atmosphere lovely, and decor, space between tables etc.. excellent. Only our first visit and we'll definitely go again to try some different dishes and at around £25-30 a head won't quibble but just a couple of observations - don't ask people how they would like their steak cooked if you can't deliver it, it's a basic, Dishes a little underseasoned for me but that's subjective I know. Well done to the owners at the windmill, they are really trying hard to offer us something over and above the fast food typical of the skeggy area so keep it up, but do check the food coming out of your kitchen once in a while as a quality control exercise.

Everything is wonderful here. They greet you at the door, drinks are served promptly. Their menu is extensive and full of local produce, special theme nights are often on offer. the staff are well trained and attentive without being overly familiar. Prices are higher than the local pubs but the food is far far superior and you do get excellent value for money.
Wine list is limited but there is a good choice and always served at the correct temperature.

Overall well worth a visit. Usually you will need to book in advance which gives you a good idea of the place.
