Beautiful apartment with incredible views from the balcony. Owner couldn't do enough, to make the stay amazing. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, eggs from their own chickens, tea, coffee, sugar and prosecco all there in the apartment on arrival, a really kind gesture. Will definitely visit again
An amazing place to stay if you want to relax and unwind, was beautifully quiet. The apartment was immaculate and eggs, bubbly and milk were there on arrival. The owner checked to make sure everything was okay and pointed out great places to eat and visit.
Extremely chilled weekend. My wife and i loved every second. As per the other reviews it is an extremely high quality residence. Amiable hosts and beutiful setting. Fully intend to return
We stayed from the 10-13th of April and was full of enjoyment, on arrival the instructions to find the place are very clear, the actual apartment it's self was extremely clean and tidy, there was tea, coffee and milk aswell. Carol is a very lovely woman and made us feel at home and welcome.
Booked last minute as needed a couple of nights away after a difficult couple of weeks. Easy booking and communication from Carol, wonderful welcome with fresh eggs, milk (which I'd forgotten) and bubbly. The accommodation was spotless with lovely views from the balcony and so quiet, slept the best I'd slept in ages. Wonderful surroundings and friendly pub just down the road. Loved it!
We booked a last minute weekend away in October for our anniversary, when I finally got a weekend off from work!
I found this place on TripAdvisor and saw the excellent reviews - the owners clearly offering a lovely apartment with lovely personal touches.
The apartment (kitchen downstairs, double bedroom with ensuite, living/dining room and balcony all upstairs was in excellent condition - as if it had been built and decorated a few weeks before! And by that I mean it was so clean and well done. Although we didn't need them, there were toothbrushes and paste just encase we had forgotten, milk in the fridge and freshly laid eggs from the hens outside which we enjoyed for breakfast :) Also we enjoyed the anniversary gift bottle of bubbly on the balcony (before it got too cold and dark - being October the light was gone by 6pm). Horses in the field opposite.
Parking felt secure.
<10 minute easy drive and you're in the New Forest - please drive slowly as horses were always just around each corner in the road! I found I was always the one going onto the side of the road when people came past, even though they were almost all in 4x4's!! Grr.
Overall a lovely relaxing retreat which I recommend highly.
Our only wish was for a later checkout!
Had a lovely peaceful weekend, great spot for exploring the new forest. We had an amazing meal at the local pub, the compasses inn which was a perfect 5 minute walk away! Very comfy bed and lovely terrace, carol had thought of everything and we didn't really want to leave! I'm sure we'll be back. Thanks again.
