We visited after seeing so many good reviews on one Saturday morning for breakfast.

We chose to sit outdoors in the courtyard since indoors felt rather hot and stuffy. Unfortunately the courtyard could do with a clean as there were cigarette ends and small amount of litter on the ground, also by choosing to sit outside you are with the smokers and dogs - which I understand the cafe can't help.

We ordered our breakfast from a waitress who was not particularly friendly, but not rude. We ordered their full English and were asked if we would like hash browns or black pudding, to which I went for black pudding, my friend opted for both. On paying the bill we were charged for all these items as supplements, whereas I believed at least one of the two were included by the way we were asked. This should really be made clear when offered.

We were approached a few times whilst waiting for the food with the wrong order before receiving our breakfast. The food was average, perhaps we were expecting too much especially for the money.

Happened upon this little teashop/café/bistro by chance on afternoon. What a pleasant feeling aas soon as you walk in you feel comfortable, there is no pressure to order immediately. We decided to try the Homemade Scones for tea. Was very surprised and delighted to be offered decaffeinated tea (this is extremely rare anywhere) as usually I have to have coffee as that is all there is usually!! Best cream tea we have had in a long time. Service is excellent. Would recommend to anyone and we need to go back to try the Breakfast and/or lunch as it looks very inviting. Very clean and comfortable.
