This place is so good that I had to go there 3 times before I could write a report on TA. Every time I was able to taste some totally different dishes, and each time they were excellent. I tried different types of pasta: memorable were tagliolini ai funghi (with mushrooms) and foglie d'olivo with octopus sauce (green pasta shaped like olive leaves). As second dishes, I tried guance di maiale (pork's cheeks, so good I took them two of the three times I have been there) and tagliata di tonno, an excellent tuna dish. As one sits down, aside the usual request on wine and water (the wine selection is small but very good), you are served with some great, warm focaccia,
I tried two desserts, both excellent: panna cotta and "Monte Bianco" (Mount Blanc). Big deal, you may say... well, just try them.
The restaurant is located in one of the main squares of Sarzana, Piazza Calandrina, which is a very nice, and not very well known, medieval town (worth paying a visit). It is in a pedestrian only area, but very easy to reach from the nearby parkings.
It is simple but cozy, and welcoming.
The price goes from 35 to 45 euro, depending on the wine you select, but it is money very well spent.
If you go there in Summer, please note Sarzana has a lot of fairs, and can be very busy and crowded.
