Amazing sandwiches in a cozy, cute ambiance. Willing to create the exact sandwich I wanted which came with delicious salad. Owner has charming taste and friendly personality. Even locals enjoy this adorable little cafe!

On our trip from Dingle to Galway, we made it a point to stop by the Buttermarket in Kilrush, having heard it was good. We were not disappointed. I personally had a BLT and potato soup. I was not familiar with a bap (kind of roll) so our kind hostess offered to prepare the sandwich on one. It was delicious. Others had goat cheese, sun dried tomato and pesto; chicken salad; and a variety of other sandwiches. Most also had either the potato soup or seafood chowder and several followed with one of their excellent deserts. The caramel coffee cake was a big hit. Though we hit them all at once with a group of ten, they handled us efficiently and with a cheerful smile. It was a most pleasant lunch and we would certainly return if our paths ever took us this way again.

Now called jamm, we visited Christmas week. Great service and lovely food. Very welcoming surroundings. My parents returned a number of times they enjoyed it so much. Well done to the new owners. We will be back again soon

I happened across the buttermarker one say purely by accident and I'm so glad I did. I have been to Kilrush many times but never at this delightful cafe. The friendly lady greeted us (my mother and I) with a pleasant hello and a wide smile. I had to have a scone because then looked divine and I had coffee. My mother had soup and brown bread. The scone was without a doubt the nicest I EVER had, it was melt in the mouth
and so fresh. The soup was delightful and so flavourful according to the mammy! There was so many things on the menu I wanted to try and I can't wait to go back again. Lucy..x
