Just 2 minutes drive from Arucas along the GC-330 towards the coast, is this little gem. MUCH better than the official Botanical Garden! And much easier to negotiate too.
If you have a Garmin satnav it is actually programmed in. If not, start driving along the GC-330, be ready: the garden is on the RH side, in the "elbow" as the road bends left. There is a good car park.
The garden is little known, although there are some coaches that drop off large parties. Mostly it can be very quiet. In low season, when they aren't expecting a coachload, they don't bother to staff the entrance kiosk. There's a bell to ring, but if they don't hear you, just start walking around. You'll soon meet a member of staff who'll sell you a ticket. Dec 2013: 6€.
Just stroll slowly so that you get to see it all. Mind the peacocks! It's not very large, but it is filled with different set pieces and mini-gardens. Delightful!
And good lavatories, with soap and eau-de-cologne.
There is no public transport to get here, but if you have a hire-car, this is an excellent half day out. I have posted photos.
