first of all, thanks to previous reviewers who gave open feedback about the facts.
After through reading(s) through various hotel reviews in tripadvisor, we choose to stay here. firstly i would like to give +s of this property and then -s, however i would rate my exp., as above avg..
+s
1. courteous staff. bell boys, front office, housekeeping, resto & spa staff are customer friendly. They addressed couple of issues very promptly and my full marks to them.
2. Property setup - very spacious and big enough to accommodate many guests
3. Food - tasty food with some kind of live music on every night. did not opted for AP as we are planning to have our lunch and dinner outside. Buffet BreakFast is 'ok' as the options are limited and refilling was little bit slow. Taste of food is good
4. Maintenance - well maintained pool, spa and other play/open area
5. Very calm and laid back beach

-s
1. Location - bit away from Colva village. Also one more negative point is we have to walk a bit to beach. one has to step out from this property and walk for some distance and enter through another property of the group and then the beach.
2. No facilities on beach - no shacks, no chairs or any activities on beach. you need to walk till Colva beach (around 20 mins walk) for activities.
3. not sure of transportation, as we used own vehicles, but noticed that, it will be difficult to commute
4. cleanliness - a bit upset with un cleaned curtains, poor fittings in toilet (shower knob got out on day one, tripping pipe near flush).
5. power fluctuations - though there is gen backup, but power goes often and we got room near DG., so every time we have to hear/ bear the noise of big DG

overall, i would say the stay is nice (with mixture of +s and -s) but giving above avg rating because of the price they quote and facilities they offer.

Room Tip: they don't have sea view rooms, so take pool view rooms rather than the ones in corner.

We were in Bay watch for 7 nights between 26th April-3rd May. Hotel is situated close to the beach. Generally staff good and polite but not attentive. Food if ordered to Chef is good. Had to change room after 3 nights due to persistent rattling AC sound. No one paid heed to the request to rectify. Rooms cleanliness- gosh!! Poor is understatement. Despite calling housekeeping 2-3 times to clean the room housekeeping supervisor (Divya Singh) had no time to check why and for what repeated housekeeping is asked for. 4 reminders to GM Sanjay Nayak to meet and a personal letter however it seems meetings came first before the guest for him. He had no courtesy to call. Club Sanda representative after seeing my feedback did not bother to approach after giving high sales pitch. Won't recommend this hotel to anyone. Go at your own risk. Another friend checking out after 3 nights.

The rooms are big, very clean, with a controllable a/c that doesn't have a mind of its own and you get very attentive service from front desk to room service. The buffet breakfast is predictable, but food overall is high quality.

Imp room tip: take a room around the pool area only if you want to enjoy music late into the night and like the sound of happy laughter from the pool all through the day. If you don't...there are plenty of quiet rooms to choose from away from the pool area.

This is a busy popular resort, even off season. They're well staffed and efficient. Lots of convention guests, mainly male, along with groups of men from surrounding states enjoy Goa's more liberal culture. So, if you're female, expect to be stared at if you're lounging around the pool. Lots of families too, with happy kids splashing in the pool.

Live bands play on some nights, so if that's your thing, take a room by the pool, open your french windows and enjoy! Its not my thing and my 11pm complaint was enough to close down the party and got me an apology and a bottle of wine the following day.

Its a short walk to the lovely beach, which has good shacks in season. They're starting to wind down now.

I got a great deal from one of the travel websites and I thought I got value for money overall.

Room Tip: take a room around the pool area only if you want to enjoy music late into the night and like the so...

We only stayed here for 2 nights but would have stayed of a week plus. Very nice hotel in a great location near the beach, 10 mins walk. Rooms a very good size and to a good standard, tea/coffee facilities and fridge.
Food to a high level and very reasonably prices, staff can be slow at times and attention to detail could be improved.
Pool area is very nice but could do with some natural shade.
Would return and recommend to friends.

Room Tip: Main shops are not walking distance, Taxi stop outside main gates.

We stayed for 10 days during March 2014.

First – the good bits:

Great staff. Without exception they are all friendly, polite and helpful, always greeting you with a smile.

Great food. We didn’t eat often in the hotel but when we did it was quite delicious. Breakfasts are nice but vary little. Great eggs cooked in the morning to order.

A la carte food is fabulous, but a bit more expensive than if you ate outside the hotel.

Rooms are nice, spacious, kept very clean, with quiet aircon and, if you have a pool view room, a nice balcony.

Some great music laid on a couple of times a week in the Live lounge.

The not so good and the bad bits:
This is a Convention Hotel….

You get lots of (mostly male) convention guests wandering out from their meeting at break time, lunchtime and in the afternoon to stand around the pool and stare at you while you are relaxing on the loungers. My wife felt quite uncomfortable with this.

You get lots of (mostly male) convention guests jumping in to the swimming pool at the end of the day sometimes in swim shorts (sometimes with just a towel) and, well, just standing there talking. Well, not talking. They didn’t seem able to talk. Just shout. The pools are not big so there’s no room for anyone else… Pool attendants usually ordered them out sharpish when this was spotted.

School children. We were unfortunate enough to be met, on returning from the beach on afternoon, by a wall (should that be wail?) of noise from the pool area. Thirty eight (38) 10 and 11 year old boys filled every part of the pool area. Again shouting / screaming / running. For four days (though for fairness they weren’t there all day every day fortunately). Teachers nowhere to be seen.

At around 3 to 4pm on each convention day (5 days a week?) including weekends, dozens of tables would be rolled out and set up around you for the convention dinners. Whilst you were still chilling / relaxing (or trying to).

All male groups of about twenty or so. Descend on the pool to play water polo. Excluding everyone else from the pool in the process. Shouting for the ball, constantly cheering when they score a goal. Again – for fairness – I complained to the hotel and this was stopped the following day. But it shouldn’t have happened at all.

Taxis.
Not the fault of the hotel but you need to be aware. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel. They don’t allow anyone else to ply for trade from the hotel. You are held to ransom by them and have to pay there exorbitant charges. 600RPS to the airport normally becomes 1000RPS from these guys. It’s a fair old trek to Colva / Margao so you need transport…

Internet is charged 500RPS per day. It is quick and reliable though. We didn’t have to pay anything in any other hotel in any part of India for fast and reliable internet access though.

10 minute walk to the beach – which is acceptable, no problem with that. Some great beachside shacks within walking distance for really inexpensive and delicious food and drinks.

We told the hotel manager that, as this is a South Goa resort hotel, we expect peace, quiet and relaxation. We didn’t get this here very often.

Would we go back?

No.

I visited Goa in month of March with friends and I would recommend this hotel if you are staying in South Goa. This hotel has all amenities and facilities of a 4 star hotel. It is mostly visited by foriegners. We stayed in double occupancy rooms and breakfast buffet was included in our package. Room is spacious with good lighting and view of pool from balcony was soothing. It has LED tv and refrigerator and an electronic safe also. The washroom is also very spacious and an intercom was also there. Hotel had their own travel guide and cars and buses too so there would not be any problem for sight seeing. There is also a private taxi infront of the hotel. It is a very big and beautiful property. Colva beach is just 5 mins walking distance. Food is awsome with many options from north indian to south indian to continental to chinese to european and all tasted good. Pool is big enough to play volleyball or something. The bed was soft and comfortable. In an all if you are looking for a lavish stay without spending much then Baywatch is worth giving a try.

I'm very much in 2 minds about this hotel it looks very very as you walk in and I was greeted very warmly, the room was nice a good size but very sparse. The hotel nickels and dimes you to death. First you are told you are only allowed 2 bath towels 1 hand 1 bath mat no face cloth and no Kleenex tissues (I asked then what I was to blow my nose on the towel ?) after a bit of a blow up I did get extra towels to block the leaks in the shower. If you want slippers they cost R79 I have never stayed in a hotel that doesn't supply slippers except for motel 6. You are only allowed 2 little packages of instant coffee you want any more again you have to pay R70. No Clock or clock Radio in the room. The next day I could get no hot water in the shower or hand basin I was told the hand basin has no hot water and the shower has a heater that has to be turned on...why the *e** didn't somebody tell me when I checked in. The hotel does allow you to bring drink snacks or alcohol on the premises, again I have never stayed in a hotel that you can't sit and have a drink and a snack and that includes Motel 6. I went to 2 party night the food and entertainment was pathetic I could find nothing to eat except for salad soup and ice cream my partner felt the same. Breakfast was hit and miss the eggs were great fruit not good but the bananas great. The food that I had from the Menu was very good I don't know why they could not do the same on the buffet. The other thing that I found annoying was when I went to pay the bill they rounded UP all the checks from the bar and restaurant this added quite a few more $$$ onto my bill. Didn't go to live music bar. Don't use the Taxi's out site you will pay double walk a couple of 100 yards to the beach and get a tuk tuk make sure you deal before you settle on a price you will need to a tuk tuk into town or Colver. Don't hire a car and driver from the hotel for the day again go into town there is a great little travel agent on the main road you can't miss it there are only 2 main roads you can get a car driver go see old Goa Churches the Spice Plantation and a few more places for R2,200 it's 3 or 4 thousand from the hotel. Would I go back properly not would I recommend the Hotel I'm not sure.
