We only stayed here for one night. The hotel looked really grand from the outside and even the lobby area. The room we were given initially was on the ground floor and facing the beach but then we got moved to another room on the first floor and the room was a lot smaller, the bathroom was not very clean, the towels smelled and the bed was not exactly clean either. There was dust all over the headrest and cobwebs in the lamps. We decided we were only going to stay there that one night and went out for dinner. Tried the breakfast buffet next morning before we checked out but it all looked very unhygienic so ended up only having toast and coffee. Wouldn't recommend this place unless you are willing to rough it up a little and overlook lack of basic hygiene. The only good thing I can think of about this place is the location as it is right in front of the beach and the rooms have small balconies where you can enjoy the view from.

Colva is a lovely bit of beach and a complete break from the busyness of areas like Calangute. There are a couple of beach shacks for food (I would definitely recommend these for breakfast instead of the hotel's offerings) a bar called Boomerang just down the beach to the left, and even a club in town.

The rooms were clean although could have done with a lick of paint, the bed was ridiculously hard and there was no safe. However, we had a balcony and large window with a sea view and you can forgive a lot for palm trees.

The evening meal was good but not much selection a veggie curry and a meat one, along with rice and bread.

All in all, as its a bit out of the way so unless you have something else to keep you occupied take a pack of cards at least.

Last year in the month of Sept. 11, Myself and my wife went to goa for holiday for 3 nights 4 days package. After a long search through internet we had found Longuinhos. I would say it's a mind blowing hotel in goa near colva beach. All the rooms are sea facing. Just try for Prawns gravy in hot garlic sauce. it's awsome to taste. The 2 days trip they had organized was quite good. Will plan for this year as well.

Room Tip: Suite rooms are always better than standard rooms.

We were staying at Agonda and wanted to come out to Margao/Colva side for an evening. Many a reviews only suggested Longuinhos as an apt place for a decent meal. So we took the almost 2hr trip and landed at the Longuinhos Beach Resort, Colva.

Expecting a well deserved meal, we all marched in to the restaurant. Its a old set up and the restaurant's ambience sort of reminded me a of the Indian Coffee House! Well undaunted I reached out for the Menu; saw that it was falling apart and even worse it had the remains and stains of a previous meal on one of the pages...I quickly bypassed those pages!! (Yuck)

We ordered for a chicken, prawn and paneer preparation; not sure exactly what they were now and some sweet corn chicken soups. The Prawn came in a reddish looking gravy which turned out to be mostly ketchup and the prawns were fried till they were hard. The chicken dish didn't taste like anything and thankfully the Paneer kababs were okay, though bland. By now most of us were getting angry/depressed/hopeless considering we drove all the way for such a sham.

However the dish that made the night "memorable" were the simple soups. I kid you not, they looked white like buttermilk and of a similar consistency. My wife made a very rare disgusted face when she put the first spoonful into her mouth. She recovered in a bit and urged me to taste it. I thought any experience is a good learning and set myself a bottom benchmark for one of the worst dishes I have ever had. The soup white as buttermilk oddly tasted like salted warm water!! One of our friends drew a comparison with starch and we progressed to even more unmentionable metaphors..!!! Anyways we escaped this place and decided to completed our dinner at different joint...!!

Room Tip: By Pass the restaurant, Please..!!

For a budget hotel its more than good. For peak season fares, not worth it. Consider the lack of crowd count & hence the business in this part of Goa.The hotel looked done up for the season OR it would have lagged the spic & span is what you can feel all around. Surprisingly the younger staff sounded more willing, polite and cordial. Location is a clearly bang on the beach & strategic. We discovered a bit late that the Betalbatim is merely a 10min beach walk & lures more foreign tourist & other crowd.

F&B is good & reasonably priced virtually similar to the shack, though the service is starving slow at most times. Room/ toilet was clean, bed linen were stain/stink free, AC / TV worked fine. Attention to detail was lacking as people passing your door may hear the audio from your room OR the insufficient light from the washroom wasnt enough for a clean party shave. Pool was clean, No wifi except at the reception. After 31st Dec suddenly there was a drastic drop in the service timing & quality.

No wonder unlike other Hotels this one didnt force a Gala dinner as the arrangement was ordinary & the whole show was a Big flop as the organisers couldn't hold no foreign or younger guests in the Hotel for New Year Celebrations. Guess all tourist who wanted to be a part of a Bash absconded to Baga. I am told there it was like a fair(mela) a sea of people this year.

For the 'warm' weather even during Dec and sparse crowd count, recommend only for calm, peaceful & solemn trips with a touch of Goan culture.

Besides the access to the beach the staff is helpful. Give the Kerala Ayurvedic massage within the hotel a try ... cheap at Rs600/- for an hour. The food is ok but the view from some of the rooms will surely make up for it. The garden as hammock if you want to slip in with a book.
