We spent a week in Panxon for a school exchange and from day 1 we went to that place. It was really nice food and ok view of the harbour. On the last day the owner ripped us off and did not want to hear about it. We were in a hurry so paid and left but later came back to complain again and try to explain the situation and settle something but the owner did not even dare come back and left us with his employee who could not do anything about it. We filed a complain to the police.
Our spanish friends at the next table ordered a big Paella lunch and paid 14 euros for one drink, a starter, paella (as much refill as they wanted since it was cooked for them) and a coffee.
We agreed 12 euros for one drink, tapas and a coffee,
Our spanish friends at the next table kindly offered us some paella to taste we politely accepted and actually did not eat it since we were all full. We ended up paying 24 euros rather that 12! The owner made us pay 12 euros for one plate of Paella. We would have agreed to 15 maybe .. but surely not 24!!!!
All together it was something like 48 euros ... it is not for the money it is for the principle. I really liked Panxon and had a lovely time but if restaurants are starting to treat tourist like that the whole town will suffer.
My advice: Try other place like a Lalos on the beach
if you really want to go to that place agree a price before sitting down and stick to your order!!!
