“Extraordinary!”
Reviewed June 9, 2012 via mobile

We arrived at the airport and were warmly welcomed by Trish, our hostess. She quickly fixed a cheap rent car and invited us to follow her by car to the casa. We arrived not much later at our destination and were delighted with what we saw. A very nice house, small pool and a very well tended garden. The view was great. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The beds were good and we both slept very well throughout the whole week.
The highlight of our day was the breakfast. A table on the terrace, in the sun, where Trish & Frank buried us in great food, good drinks and entertaining stories. What an exceptional way to start your day!
Our hosts gave us lots of great information to visit the island and to find good restaurants, including brochures or cards and even maps to go hiking.
Conclusion: I can't imagine a better place to stay when you're visiting Lanzarote!

We stayed at Casa Claddagh for our wedding anniversary and could not have been happier. Trash and Frank are unbelievable and the property is perfect. Trisha was hugely helpful in booking all aspects of our trip, actually taking time to Skype with my wife to discuss certain aspects of the trip and Frank gave us personal recommendations for all the best restaurants. They even went out of their way to add some special touches to make out anniversary that much more special (thank you!). The property is beautiful, we already miss lounging around the pool and having breakfast with views of the ocean. Located in a quiet village, a car is a must, however most of the island is within a 15-20 minute drive and Frank and Trish had directions for every place we went.

We've just come back from Lanzarote and already missing Trish and Frank. They've been always kind and helpful with us and our kids. Our daughter (7years old) loved helping Frank taking care of his birds and our son (12years old) loved Trish breakfast especially her nutella's crepes. We spent a great week and Casa Claddagh had a big part in it because we felt like at home, with friends. Everyday, after visiting this beautiful island, we could relax in the pool, surrounded by flowers and calm and we really hope to go back soon.

Frank and Trish gave us a fantastic welcome and it felt more like coming home than going on holiday. It was lovely to have Trish meet us at the airport and to sort out the car hire. Frank gave us a complete rundown on the island with a map of all the best places to visit.
The accommodation was just what we wanted and the breakfasts are the stuff of legend.
The garden and pool area was wonderful to sit in - truly relaxing.
This was so much better than staying at a hotel and we would recommend it to anyone.

Our stay at Casa Claddagh confirms for us why we enjoy B & B accommodation. This is one of the best.
Frank & Trish succeed in balancing a friendly, homely welcome with just the right level of privacy for each of their guests. The first sight of their stunning enclosed garden with the pool, quite took our breath away.
We enjoyed the magnificent breakfasts taken at a large table looking over the garden and sea views beyond. Yesterday's experiences and today's plans are shared enthusiastically between the guests over a leisurely meal.
Our room was most comfortable and clean with lots of attention to detail, like the big towelling robes provided.
Frank & Trish are full of valuable information about the island and its many attractions. Nothing is too much trouble for them and there is a cheerful, good humoured hospitality which added immensely to our enjoyment of Lanzarote.
By the way, let Trish book a hire car if you want one, it could save you a lot of bother and expense.

Had a lovely stay. A great start by being met at the airport by Trish who sorted out a hire car - no queuing for us!
Trish and Frank are exceptional hosts, very attentive. They are very knowledgable about the island and helped us a lot by giving us a map they had annotated with useful information.
The location is perfect, not in the middle of the tourist area but in a village very near to the main road. We had been worried about it being close to the airport but rarely heard any planes.
The breakfast was amazing, did not need to eat again until the evening. It was very relaxing to eat it sitting on their terrace looking out onto their delightful garden. Good to chat with the other guests as well as receiving tips from our hosts. Could have sat there all day.
The bedroom was very clean and comfortable, every thing one needed including cosy robes. Very quiet and relaxing.

Casa Claddagh is a small B&B with 5 rooms (only 3 rooms are available at the same time) situated in a small village called Guime above Arrecife. Never had such a warm welcome! It really felt like coming home to family. The nice and personal contact from our former emails continued in every way! Trish and Frank were already waiting for us, making sure, that everything went fine with our flight and the car rental! We then got a coffee and first information about the island, restaurants, spots to go and so on (later on our stay, when my boyfriend got a cold, they took care of him and provided every support they could!)
The place is beautiful with a wonderful terrace for breakfast, a small pool and flowers everywhere. The room was very clean und individually decorated (every room has its own colour). In the morning you get the most impressing breakfast you have ever seen: fresh fruit, a choice of bread, croissants, cheese, sausage... and every day there is a special like pancakes or french toast or what ever. It was delicious! Everything was very personal, we only were 3 couples there at the beginning, later on only 2 couples. Everything was quiet an peaceful. So we can only say the best about this B&B and about Trish and Frank! You will love them! We would love to come back!

Some special information about 2 things I was wondering about before booking:
Location / Airport: Guime is very small and quiet. There is no restaurant to go so you need a car there! Because of its location you can get to every part of the island very easy! Especially to Matagorda or Puerto del Carmen for dinner. Its only a ten minutes drive.
Although you only need 10 minutes by car from the airport its not noisy. You can see the airplanes departing in the distance in the valley but not that close like in Puerto del Carmen, where they arrive.

Highlights:
- warmest welcome and care, nicest hosts ever!
- insider information concerning the whole island and the spots to go (including the calm non touristic places)
- nice room, individually decorated and very clean (we had a private terrace in addition)
- UNBELIEVABLE BREAKFAST, you wont loose weight ;-)
- calm and relaxful place with a nice view down the valley and to the sea

This is the place for people who want to relax and have a quiet and peaceful break with personal attention, but also want to see much of the island and like to drive around!
