A delightful, small, unique place to stay. The owners could not have been more welcoming or friendly. The half bottle of Cava on arrival was a lovely touch, with fresh fruit also available. We stayed in room 2 - fabulous views of the walled town and the pretty garden and the balcony was perfect to let in a very welcome breeze. The bathroom - though small - was perfectly clean with carefully chosen toiletries. A great nights sleep and fabulous breakfast with our hosts on hand to give advice and a friendly chat. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We have recommended you to our family so hopefully more of us will be staying soon!

Room Tip: Room 2 has a great view and lots of windows to catch the breeze :-)

It is hard to find a lodging where you feel and wish that it can be your home. Hotel La Casa del Tio Americano is such a property. I felt truly at home here because of the authentic, old-world Spanish architectural details of the building and decorations, comfortable furniture, warm hospitality (cava upon arrival, tasty candies in the room, self-serving tea & coffee, free car ride to the bus stop, etc.), its smaller size, beautiful garden, and much more. Never have I been to a hotel where the owner really went out of their way to make you feel at home as this one, and I do travel extensively for work and leisure. To top it off, the views of spectacular Albarracin from the garden and enclosed room veranda is OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD! Do make sure that you call in advance for the free car pickup from Albarracin's bus stop if you are without wheels since the uphill climb can be more strenuous than what you bargained for.

All the top reviews for this hotel are spot-on. The owner is incredibly welcoming and the location is majestic. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the view is incredible. This was our favorite stay during our two week stint in Spain. I highly recommend it.

A small, slightly quirky hotel in a stunning location. The views from the bedroom and garden terrace were 'to die for'. Everywhere you looked there was a fantastic photograph waiting to be taken. Staff were friendly and helpful, with nice touches (eg the free cava served to our bedroom on arrival). Car parking was a few hundred metres away, but to be expected in a town built on the edge of a cliff, with pedestrian streets. We were asked in advance about our arrival time, so reviewers who complain about reception not being open throughout the day should stick to large modern hotels and leave this magical location to those of us who appreciate it!

Albarracin was our last stop of a 15 day tour of the north of Spain.
We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in this ancient, quaint fortress village.
The building is quirky with rooms up and down, to the side and outside. It's been well restored with careful thought to detail and character.
We had the twin room at the top of the hotel. It was fantastic, small but comfortable with lovely little extra touches of care and attention. Including a welcome bottle of cava when we had checked in.
The hosts were knowledgeable and helpful.
I had the best nights sleep of my holiday there.
And the breakfast was exceptional. After 14 days of hit and miss quality breakfasts, I wasn't expecting much. Yet it was the best of them all. A good variety, excellent quality and attentive service.
A truly wonderful place, and I can't wait to go back.

We stopped by Albaraccin on our babymoon enroute to Barcelona and are so glad we did. The hosts were lovely and friendly giving us useful tips about exploring the town, and inviting us to share a sangria at a local festival. The rooms are quaint, rustic and comfortable and ours opened up onto a beautiful terrace garden where we enjoyed breakfast and the gorgeous views. Beautiful little b&b to relax in and well worth the stop.

Another stop on our trip with family and friends from Canada and it couldn't have been better, from the welcome we received right through to departure. We took 5 of the 6 rooms available in this small hotel. Its more like staying in someone's home than a hotel experience so if you want anonymity perhaps its not the place for you. If available try and get the one of the two garden terrace rooms. Its a place to relax in and enjoy the wonders of Albarracin right from the garden terrace in front of your room. This was our 4th visit to Albarricin and we have now found the place we want to return too when visiting Albarracin again , which we will sooner than later. The rooms and bath room are not particularly large but they are quiet and wonderfully peaceful. A great experience and good value for money.

Room Tip: don't hesitate
