These casitas have everything you want. Haria is one of the most beautiful villages on Lanzarote which will give you the REAL Lanzarote experience. Go to Orzola for some of the most beautiful (natural) beaches and lovely food or head up to Famara for some serious surfing and kiting or just to relax on this giant beach. Sure, the south is okay as well if you're looking for all inclusive tourists who pay 5 euros for a drink but don't forget the nice bars in Tequise or dinner at Arriete (fresh fish!) with sea views for more than reasonable prices.

If you like driving cars, i'ld suggest to rent a Jeep and hit the roads. It made us appreciate the landscapes even more (and it comes in real handy ofroading). Don't worry about the lack of aircon; you wont need it. Don't spend too much time doing your hair before you hop in the car though..

Don't forget to spend your time a the pool and enjoy the beautiful garden. It will make you feel happy and relax. And that is what holidays are for!

My partner and I spent two and a half weeks at Casa Teresita for our honeymoon. This property just has it all: very spacious living/bedroom, large dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom and some stunning outdoor areas including a shared pool and a private terrace. Plus, it's located in the lovely town of Haria, which is a 5-10 min. ride from the shore.

The owners are very nice people and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

As a couple living hectic London lives we wanted to get away from it all and get ourselves some peace and quiet. We tried a hotel in Costa Teguise the previous year and were completely unimpressed by the all night karaoke bars and stumbling brits in early hours of the morning.

Casita Susi is a world apart from anything that we had experienced previously on the island, so much so that it felt like we were on another planet let alone the same island. The apartment is set in the sleepy and rustic village of Haria, off the beaten track and up in the hills, surrounded by beautiful volcanos. We enjoyed the great restaurants and brilliant regional produce - very inexpensive and of very high quality if you're into serrano ham/goats cheese/wine.

Although tucked away, you won't feel completely isolated if you have rented a car. As Lanzarote is a small island with great roads you won't have a problem getting anywhere. My advice is to get a slightly zippier car - the roads around Haria are pure driving paradise.

The seafood is great in this part of the island, we vouch for the restaurant Amanacer, recommended to us by Brendan and Terrie. Beautiful fresh seafood at very good prices.

The apartment itself is first rate, clean, rustic and very well designed. We were approached with a smile from our first moment at the apartment - the owners are extremely friendly and helpful without being at all intrusive.

Altogether, we couldn't fault the place if we tried. It was our home away from home and we will certainly return. Thank you Brendan, Terrie and Theo.

We have just returned from our annual retreat to Lanzarote for some winter/spring sunshine. We stayed in Carmelo last time - which was lovely - and thought we'd try Teresita for a change. Teresita exceeded our expectations. It had everything you could possible want and more, was extremely tranquil, and surprisingly spacious. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by a holiday here, nor by Brendan and Terrie's care and attention to detail. Already looking forward to next years retreat.

Haria is a very peaceful market town tacked away among the peaks of the northern volcanos. It has a variety of eateries, a couple of convenience stores, petrol station and is a very short drive away from beautiful, white sand beaches of the north-east. The Cassita Carmela we stayed in in April 2011 is a very pretty property, has everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. The décor is very pleasing, the property was handed over to us very clean and tidy, with a nice gift of wine, olives and other nibbles. There is a lovely swimming pool – it's shared with the two other cassitas, but Cassita Carmela has a totally private and spacious patio and a private entrance. We never had any problems parking on the quiet road next to the property. We've visited Lanzarote numerous times and this was our favourite place to stay. We hope to come back.
