After an appalling experience at the Aquapolis in Torrevieja last year, we gave the Aqua Park in Rojales a try. It was certainly worth the 20 minute drive from Torrevieja. We got there at 11am as the park opened. After a short ten minute queue, we were in the park. It is a nice sized place, where you feel comfortable letting the kids go off and do their own thing. They really enjoyed the variety of slides and rides and there was also a pool to cool off in but a bit too busy to have a peaceful swim. I would definitely recommend taking a picnic as I have heard the food isn't great quality, but can't confirm this. There are designated picnic areas, or you can eat where you have laid your towels on the grass verges. Sun loungers can be rented for three euros for the day and they also have lockers which need a one euro coin which you get back. Compared to the Aquapolis last year, there were no hidden costs and the queues for the rides weren't as long. A much better experience and we will definitely go back again
