We choose this hotel based on other reviews & location etc, upon arrival we were told there was a problem with the water at the hotel and we were being transferred to the other eurostars hotel a few 100metres away.. We were not too happy but Monica (the receptionist) advised us that we could return the following day and have the remaining 2nights there if we wanted to return, we didnt like the other hotel and i have posted a review separately for them, When we returned Monica wasnt there but she had given us the best room in the hotel (606), overlooking the square and facing the castle, it had its own sunbathing terrace with lovely wicker beds, a patio with table and chairs and large patio doors opening out onto it, she had allso arranged for a bottle of Cava to be delivered to our room, a really nice touch..
The Hotel is in a great location with an abudance of bars and restaurants on your doorstep.
The Breakfast wasnt great but there were simple choices of breads, cereals and fruit and hot food was scrambled egg & bacon but not much else..
The bus from the airport 2.75E each stops just across the road from the entrance to the square and takes about 20mins, its just past the harbour..
We would def recommend the hotel and would stay here again should we return to Alicante.More
