“Great hotel, great location”
Reviewed October 22, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for 10 nights in October and it's a hotel I would recommend to anyone. The location is excellent if you come out of the hotel and turn right and first right you are only few minutes walk to the beach. If you turn left you are only few minutes away from the main shopping street. The Airport bus which we took from the airport and there is a bus stop across the road from the hotel.

From the moment we checked in with a girl called Esther who was warm and friendly we knew we had made the right hotel choice. She was very helpful and informative. We were able to check in our flight home on the computer near the lifts and Esther kindly allowed us to print our boarding passes.

We booked a superior room while we were there and the room was fabulous, good size and space and more importantly it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We stated on the 9th floor looking down on the Main Street which was a bit noisy at times. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. For English speaking people be warned there was only two English language tv stations euronews and bbc world news. A big plus abd nice gesture was two bottles if free water in the fridge every day.

We ate breakfast each day in the hotel and there was a huge selection of food to pick from including fruit, cereal, sausages, rashers, toast, ham and my favourite chocolate cake.

Only negative we would have is the wifi was very slow in our room and sometimes cut off which was annoying also the sauna gym area on the top floor which has a great view of the city and the castle by the was didn't have any changing rooms.

Overall we were delighted with our stay in the hotel and we would certainly return here.

We spent just over a week in Alicante to sight see and beaches. The hotel is well locate to the old town and close to transport links including the new tram which links to the coast up to Calpe. Hotel offers clean and modern accomodation, staff were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it for a long weekend, only thing missing was a pool but not a show stopper.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of old market.

The Lucentum is a modern, purpose build hotel, well located for shopping and old town.

We arrived at 2pm for our overnight stay, to be told that our junior suite would not be ready until 4pm, which was disappointing, as we intended to siesta before our late night out in the city.

We then checked in to our suite at 4pm by the pleasant reception staff. Why these suites are called junior, we don't know? The suites do not excel in luxury, but are very spacious, clean and well designed for practicality. The 9 junior suites are all located on the 1st floor, which was a slight let down being closer to the noisy traffic of the city, and with limited views. The suite itself (107) did not disappoint. The suite had an entrance hall with a separate fairly large toilet room with sink. A separate lounge which could comfortably sit 12 people. Then through double sliding doors was your en suite bedroom. Suite 107 was situated on the corner of the building away from the elevators, meaning it had no wifi, for this reason we asked to be moved as wifi is essential these days. The reception staff did everything they could to relocated us within the wifi zone. Our second suite (103) not being on the corner was smaller, but with everything the first suite had, except the lounge could only sit 7 people.
It's now 5pm before we get settled. The fact that there was no rush to check out the following day, did make up for this, as we checked out at 3pm after a very comfortable stay.

A modern hotel well located on the edge of the old town and handy for strolling into the town and down to the sea front. Many excellent bars and restaurants a few minutes away. The staff were really helpful and the rooms were tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable and with free wifi. The TV looked to be older than the hotel but apart from that, no complaints. Happy to recommend it.

I stayed in this hotel with my wife for a week in the middle of September.
The rooms were large and cleaned thoroughly each day and the bathroom was perfect.
The breakfast was excellent - fruit, cooked eggs and bacon, cold meats, pastries - and excellent value for what we paid.
Tiny quibbles were that the coffee was bitter and the television was one of the old monsters.
It is not a hotel specifically geared for tourists, so not good if you hope to meet fellow travellers, but this suited us fine. Overall it was a good place to stay .

Hotel Eurostars Lucentum was a really clean and nice hotel. The staff was really welcoming and helpful. The rooms were stylish and clean and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. If I ever go to Alicante again, I would stay here. The location was also very good. Short walking distance to everything.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms do not have WIFI.

We stayed here last week for 3 nights, nice hotel in central location but the main reason I
booked this hotel was it had WiFi in the rooms, but our room did not have it and the receptionist
said that corner rooms didnt have WiFi,other than that the hotel was ok,good value for money.
