If you like excellent food, as much wine as you want, lovely people to look after you then the "vent" is the place to be, we have been eating here for the past eight years and, whilst other restaurants have good food, nothing compares with this.
Enjoy and smile all through your lunch.

We booked a table for 6 at 3.30 in Verdi Vent on Sunday 4th November 2012. Arrived and was very impressed by the level of hospitality shown towards us. Something that will always impress me. The restaurant was absolutely packed and every table was utilised. It is a very rustic place so watch your head on the low arches...lol.!!!
We were shown to a room to the right of the front room and there was only another 2 tables in there. It felt like we had our own private area. The starters arrived promptly and the wine flowed. Our order for the main course was taken. The starter can be described as a potato salad, ingratiated with a hint of garlic, rosemary and thyme served with lashings of bread. Absolutely delicious. Then came a huge earthenware tureen of homemade broth. I can honestly say that if all 6 of us had 4 plates of soup each, we would still have not got to the bottom of what seemed like the Grand Canyon!
After that, we were presented with a beautiful salad served with a separate creamy dressing. An absolute delight to the palette. After that, came the main course. It was a choice of Lamb Shank, Duck in Orange Sauce or Steak with a creamy sauce too. All the guests ordered something different so each of us got to taste all three choices. The vegetables consisted of mashed potato and broccoli. Everything was perfect. After the plates were cleared, sufficient time was given to allow the food to "sink down" before the dessert order was taken. It was crepes with a swirl of cream enveloped in a beautiful dessert sauce.
All in all, all of us had a fantastic meal at Verdi Vent. We will definitely return and wish the proprietors and the staff every success they truly deserve.

Maybe in Alicante Province but not near Alicante! Only open lunchtimes. Except Martes It's a day out from whichever direction you approach. Right up in the hills / out in the sticks! Fantastic scenery en route. Fantastic 5 course meal. As much wine as you can drink. I have been taking friends there for nearly 10yrs. now. Never been disappointed. Four couples 100E

We have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. Its an interesting venue, high up in the hills past the Jalon Valley, and is very rustic to say the least, which adds to the ambience and charm of the occasion. A set five course Menu is offered at a very reasonable price which starts with homemade bread and humous starter, then a huge bowl of delicious homemade soup is presented in the centre of the table to share, and despite having many servings we never reach the bottom. A salad intermediate course is then served, which is beautifully presented, after which the main course is presented. There is a choice of three main courses, but we nearly always plumb for the Duck, and Shoulder of Lamb, which comes with a selection of vegetables and has to be the tastiest we have had served anywhere. They only open for lunch, which takes up much of the afternoon and is altogether a great afternoons dining experience. The Staff are very attentive, polite and friendly.

Wonderful location in the country with great views and an interesting drive to the restaurant. A quaint building with a labyrinthine layout, full of interesting furniture and artefacts. The set menu starts with a chick pea and garlic dip, a tomato, onion and coriander salsa/salad and bread followed by a very tasty soup (try the soup with the garlic dip in it) and then a salad. The choice of three main courses all of which were properly cooked and presented. Crepes for dessert and then coffee and liquers. When we arrived there was a carafe of red wine on the table, we also had white and rose in abundance and apparently could have had beer; all of which is included in the price. Water coffee and liquers are not included but when the bill for 5 people came to just a shade over 100€ one cannot really complain. The service was efficient, polite and effective. The quantity and quality of food was very good and the whole experience was great. The four and a half hours we took over lunch finishing outside under a strategically placed awning was time well spent and I think had we not left when we did a siesta could so easily have been taken. Nothing wrong with this restaurant at all and would recommend it to anyone but suggest that if you take advantage of the free flowing wine, driving home in the dark may be quite an experience so lunch is the better option. One comment is that Verdi Vent is not really anywhere near Alicante so don't know why it is listed as such; but then who cares where it is when it is such good value.
