There is not much to say about this restaurant, except that they serve almost anything from, pizza to paella, steak, fish and chips and probably hamburgers.
The food we had was ok but nothing special and the price was normal, which is in view of the quality not really value for money. Service is correct, clean and quick.
They don't push but the atmosphere is not cosy enough to spend more time then necessary.

There are a large number – probably about thirty - of covered “open-air’ restaurants along one side of the esplanade in Alicante. Although some of them strive for ‘difference’ they all manage to look remarkably similar. We chose one called “Palmitas”, for no better reason than that they had white table clothes on each table, which gave it a fresh appearance.

I ordered an entrocote with pepper sauce and my partner ordered a plain chicken dish. The steak was adequate, though with a lot of ‘waste’. It was large enough, though by the time I cut off the fat etc, it reduced to about half it’s original size. The sauce was well made and appetising. The chicken was bland and tasteless. The overall price (with a glass of wine, bread and a bottle of water) came to €36.61, which was high for what we got. With so many good restaurants not a great distance away, I would recommend eating on the esplanade.

You can eat well and cheaply here from a varied menu.Probably best to stick to the fish/shellfish dishes as this is what they seemed to do best. Nice outlook towards the harbourside but it is definitely in amongst the lower end such as McDonalds etc so not the place to go if you are looking for "smart"

We have eaten there twice and on both occasions the food and service were very good. Tapas was excellent and the chicken skewers were fantastic. The house red wine was gorgeous too. Angel was the perfect waiter
