In March my daughter and I decided to get away for a few days and ended up in Alicante, a place both of us had never been before. Since my daughter had to study and I was recovering from surgery, it was decided that an apartment would suit us best. We booked the recently opened Palacio Salvetti suites, primarily because of the central location, also it appeared to be quite spacious. We arrived in the evening and had received an instruction by email to get into the building.
It was beyond our wildest dreams. Set in a relatively busy pedestrian shopping street with lots of bars do restaurants, the building itself is a beautiful classic palacio with huge wooden doors which open by means of a key code.
The beautiful hall with marble floors and high ceiling leads to the central hall with stairway to the apartments. During the day, one of the staff is often available to help you with your questions (and anything else you need), or they can be found in another building with apartments around the corner.
At night, our keys were obtained from a coded key box, everything was organized perfectly.
Our apartment was the most beautiful we've ever seen, every little detail was finished in the most beautifully designed, luxurious way. The furniture was comfortable, there was a terrace with chairs and a table, two enormous tv's, just perfect.
We spent five wonderful nights there and felt completely at home. Our first night, which was a Saturday night, was apparently quite popular for locals to go out and party until deep into the night, because only that night it was quite noisy until about 4.30 am. Fortunately we always travel with earplugs, so we got through that night without too many problems, the other nights were serenely quiet.
This is the only thing one should realize when booking this wonderful place, though this is entirely a result from the location, not the suites themselves.

very good located and perfect renovated Historical Palacio, a very well done combination between historical detail and modern art and facilities. Lots of space and great welcoming by Viktor. if I may suggest.... give guest a welcome drink and bite, and place a good bottle of wine and snacks in the apartments, this will give the guest the ultimate hospitality experience. and put good amenities in the bathroom, now theres only handsoap and a showergel in the bathrooms. thats not a 5 star treatment.

Beautiful apartments in the heart Alicante. We stayed on the second floor and we were impressed with immaculate rooms and friendly staff. Possibly the nicest place I've ever stayed, and the largest.

The apartment is on a road full of excellent bars, so not too far to go for a cocktail or two. But despite this you can't hear anything in the apartment.

I'd definitively stay again.

Visited Alicante for one night, couldn't find a good hotel but came across Palacio Salvetti, looked nice on photos so booked it. It did not disappoint, better than any five star hotel, and it is in a great location in the middle of the city, walking distance to anywhere. The staff is the best I have ever came across anywhere in the world. The suites are bigger than most houses in some countries, beautifully designed and very well equipped. The building itself is a historic building what has been beautifully renovated. I can honestly highly recommend!
