We have just arrived home having spent 10 days at this accommodation. The central location gives the visitor immediate access to bars, restaurants and local attractions such as the local beach. The apartment is concise, two bedroomed with a lovely terrace. The kitchen is very well equipped. The visitor is only a 5 minute walk to the Alicante Tram. If I was to have one criticism, I would like to have at least one English speaking channel on the TV. Roberto and Antonio are fantastic hosts and extremely helpful. I have no hesitation to recommend this holiday letting. I look forward to returning.
Location excellent, close to marina, beach and all the attractions, however quite a lot of noise at night and the narrow streets accentuate this.
Apartment very good and as described, but we had a problem with no hot water in kitchen or main bathroom for 5 days, problem was resolved but was certainly an inconvenience to say the least.
Would be happy to recommend to friends now that hot water issue has been resolved.
The apartment is on the fourth floor of a block – there’s a lift which comes up to the apartment’s door. It’s convenient and isn’t like having a room near the lift in a hotel. I never heard anybody using the lift while I was there.
When you arrive, you go to the company’s offices in Calle Bazan. Unfortunately the taxi driver from the airport didn’t know where that was and dropped me off a couple of streets away, claiming that he couldn’t drive down Calle Bazan. He could have done if he’d realised that it’s one-way from north to south.
The apartment itself is not as posh as it looks in the photos. I’m not suggesting that it’s misrepresented in any way, just that maybe the photos were taken when it was newly decorated and that was a little while ago. That said, it’s very good, especially at the price.
There are a couple of downsides: first is that the apartment faces north which means that it never gets the sun directly on the balcony. That’s probably an advantage in the summer but in the winter it’s a bit of a disappointment. The second is that the instructions for the equipment (oven, washing machine etc) were in a drawer in the kitchen. Unfortunately, it’s easy to miss that drawer and I didn’t find the instructions until it was nearly time for me to leave. Sadly it seems that the multi-lingual instructions supplied with cookers etc in Spain don’t include English so if you want to be able to use the washing machine, it’s worth having a Spanish/English dictionary with you. It took a while to work out how to make the hob work in the kitchen and I never managed to figure out how the oven worked. On the whole, though, that’s a minor issue and it probably won’t bother many people who book the apartment.
There’s a TV but I didn’t find any English language channels. However, if you’ve got a computer with an HDMI connection, there’s an HDMI cable provided so you can hook the computer up to the TV. There’s also a broadband connection and it seems to be specific to the apartment so you’re not sharing it with anybody else.
Against all that, the important stuff (to me at least) is good. The double bed is very comfortable and the shower in the en suite shower room is great. The apartment is within a few minutes’ walk of some terrific restaurants, some supermarkets and only a block away from the Passeig Esplanada. If, like me, you want to locate it exactly on the map, it’s on the corner of Calle Lanuza and Calle Rafael Terol. The terrace overlooks Calle Rafael Terol.
The apartment was spacious, quite and well appointed. The terrace and the veranda are precious and the location was perfect for exploring Alicante, close to the center and to the esplanada.
We made the check in in the morning and the guest was available at the settled time.
The only negative point is a bad smell of sewer in the washing machine room that sometime was perceivable also in the terrace.
We suggest to leave some detergent for the washing machine and the dishwasher available for guests..
The apartment was spacious and well appointed, The location was perfect for exploring Alicante with many good restaurants within walking distance. Check in was a bit awkward as there was nobody at the office that spoke English.
