First hotel I saw through the rain and mist. They must be very used to receiving guests with dripping ponchos and hiking poles, with no bookings, walking the Camino. Reception was able to speak in many languages including English. Bar had wifi but not my room. Pity the neighbouring steel factory interrupted my afternoon sleep. Breakfast a typical Spanish breakfast.

There are certainly nicer places to stay in Negreira, but it was clean and ok.
With elevator. Staff was ok and friendly. Interior inconsiderate and outdated.
The food at the restaurant cheap and uninspired cooking. Poor breakfast. We had unfortunately the room facing main street and very loud neighbors in and outsite the Hotel.

This is a nice, if simple, hotel and really handy for the camino. It's the first hotel you come into in Negreira (walking from Santiago along the Camino Finisterre route) which is a bonus when you're tired and in need of food and somewhere to sit down and take off your bag! If you don't speak Spanish bring along a phrase book as the hotel staff, for the most part, do not speak english. Reception staff are really friendly and helpful and, if it's something you're looking for, can organise for your bags to be brought along to the next town for you (this costs around 30/35 euro depending on where your next stop is) Negreira itself wouldn't be the most exciting place to spend a night but there is a lovely wine bar and a few nice but simple places to eat. There's also a decent sized supermarket and a pharmacy. You won't come across any shops between here and Olveiroa so it's a good place to stock up on food for the trek. Word of warning- if you're looking for a bite to eat and the people in the Cafeteria ask if you'd like to go to the hotel dining room to try out the menu of the day (7e for 3 courses of very simple, tastyish food with water, wine, coffee & bread) think twice about it. It sounds like a bargain (and is) but the food isn't great and the dining room is like a banqueting hall, cold and uncomfortable and not really what you're after when you've been walking all day
