We have visited the castle from 30/6/12 through 7/7/12. We had the apartment Il Castello.
The location is great, centrally located between Venice, Padua and Chioggia.
The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is very quiet and the site is beautiful.
There are a few that can be better arranged. 1. the apartments in the main castle have a central hallway while the facilities and rooms are not connected to each other. One morning I was suprised to see there were unexpected guests. I don't think that is a problem, but the communication could have been better. 2. The WiFi and Airconditioning are underperforming 3. In apartment Il Castello the garden furnitere can be a lot better. 4. The central square must be lit at night.
If you want to go on a retreat this is the place. Monselice is an average town, not much to do for entertainment.
For dinner there is one place in Arqua Petrarce called Ristorante da Laura which has very good food, is reasonably priced and is located centrally on a nice square. We have searched for other good restaurants but we couldn't find them easily.
All in all 'thumbs up'.
