My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. John and Breda are wonderful folks who really care about their guests, the location is right in the middle of the lower village, and our clean, spacious room had a great view of the Hook Head lighthouse. Delicious breakfast made to order. Very well done.

Stayed at The Beach last night for one night while touring. Excellent location in beachside village. Double room with small balcony overlooking bay was exceptionally clean with comfortable beds. Extensive choices on breakfast menu including full Irish breakfast complimented our stay. Genuine warm friendly service from hosts John and Breda.

Myself and my partner stayed here for one night in May, and happened to get the best weather of the year. The B&B was lovely, clean, bright and nicely decorated. Our room was big and as good as any hotel room and better than a lot we had stayed in. There was a very nice couch and armchairs and even a ceiling fan. The bed was so comfy and massive. We had a view of the sea out the window and it was nice to be able to walk across the road to the beach. There's a pub with restaurant across the street which has live music aswell, and another pub that serves food just up the street. The price of the B&B was very reasonable, especially for the standard of the accommodation. The only thing that disappointed me was the breakfast, I had pancakes and they weren't very well cooked and the sausages were a little gristley, but to be honest it was only a minor thing, and could've been a once off, so I would still be happy to come back and would recommend staying here to anybody.

Room Tip: Possibly ask for sea view, but maybe not if you would be fussy about noise because of the live music...

We traveled Ireland for 2 wks and this is the best place we stayed in. Clean, Spacious, Nicely Decorated, Great location, Free Parking, Wifi in the bedroom, and Breda & John couldn't have made our stay more lovely. Delicious Breakfast in the morning with much to choose from and the Seaview from the bedroom made it even more enjoyable. Don't forget to go up the hill to Powers Bar and hear lively Traditional Irish Music on Tuesday nights!

I would highly recommend this guesthouse. Great location, very nice and obliging hosts. Private parking and wifi a great perk. TV also had loads of channels and breakfast was very tasty and loads of it.
