We booked two fully serviced pitches together six weeks in advance of arriving last week for a six day stay
When we arrived, we were told a member of staff had let them go the day before to solve another booking issue / mistake they had made.
We were then offered two unlinked very poor pitches in lieu of and all our other requests to resolve meet with NO as allegedly everything else was booked and could not be moved despite the fact that several pitches were also occupied by storage caravans which were not in use.
Finally we walked the site, selected two other pitches, forced the issue and eventually got it resolved by our own patience and resolve.
The team here need a wakeup call as they should not treat customers like this, what happened to the management ? and no apology.
Would be stay again, sadly no, not until the problems are solved on what was a great site when we stayed last time!

Have not been to this campsite for many years. The owners have changed. We arrived on Friday around 7pm and a nice young girl on reception was efficient. The next morning we went back into reception to ask about changing our grass pitch to any other one that was sunny, as they had put us under a tree and it was shady. There were around 10 free other pitches not occupied.
The older lady with a ponytail was on reception when we arrived and we asked to collect our paper. She could not even be bothered to say good morning. I asked about changing pitch, she instantly said NO. She said we all booked and there are NO empty ones. I pointed out the other pitches that had no one on, but she said NO they have people on but there are just no there at the moment. I said where are they, she said they are probably visiting family (what with their caravan) yes she said. We are full they are all taken. She was rude and dismissive and just wanted us to go away because could not care one bit and that was the end of it. I had specified a sunny pitch on the booking, but that does not matter - she said. I was getting nowhere so we just put up with it.
Toilet block was not good toilets not flushing handle off. the shower head were hanging off and the water just dripped out! . It is no wonder that they do not have the rating anymore.
We had booked for three nights and right up to when we left those ten pitches DID NOT have anyone on them at all. No people, tent, caravan Nothing! She lied!!

Another wonderful visit to this great site. Lovely location toilets spotless (even though it was very busy). Big pitches and some of the best walks around.

Big thank you to Denise for going the extra mile getting us booked in and another huge thanks you to Louis what a lovely guy. Kept toilets clean and always has time for a quick chat.

Great job guys

This is a spacious and well laid out site with very good facilities. Location very central to the many National Trust properties. Despite being during the school Easter break it was not full. Sadly we found the ‘Information’ room lacking in just that! Information that was available was not up-to-date and we could not contact a taxi company. The usual folder contained little in the way of recommendations but we had an excellent meal at the Green Cross 10 mins drive away. Access through Goudhurst with a caravan is tricky and definitely avoid busy times if the day.
