Description: Stile Bridge Freehouse Pub & Restaurant is an independent, family owned country pub serving a wide range of real ales, wonderful wines and a spectacular Gin List in addition to the usual spirits. With a fully commercial kitchen cooking food freshly prepared from local produce, a vegetarian-friendly mix of English cuisines from old favourites to something a little different awaits and all at very reasonable prices. There is a large patio garden with plenty of benches and seating for the summer and real fires indoors for the colder winter months. There is a separate restaurant inside the spacious interior of the pub but customers are welcome to eat in the bar and lounge areas should they choose to. A large free car park is available for all our visitors.

Stumbled across Stile Bridge looking for a place to eat while staying in Chart Sutton, and this place fit the bill brilliantly. The landlord came straight out when he saw us arrive to set up the ramp for wheelchair access. We we given excellent service from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. None of us are big beers drinkers, so we can't really comment on these, but the other drinks we had were fine, and the food was very good, certainly above average for a pub meal. Warm and welcoming, would definitely recommend.

I wish there was a "Good" grade between Avarage and Very good, as this was a good evening.Thirty people sitting down to dine must be daunting for any restaurant but The Stile Bridge looked after us well. We had pre-ordered meals from a varied but limited choice at £25.00. per head. The food was served correctly and very promptly to everyone - and with only 2 people serving this was no mean feat - especially as the same crew were serving drinks as well! It was all hot and well presented. We had the restaurant to ourselves which was useful as the Boss wanted to read poems and good wishes to the two ladies retiring. It was a good venue for this event, with a pleasant room and nice food and I would like to visit again for a more casual evening. Having passed this place many times, I have to say the blue outside decor makes it look sad and I was never inspired to visit - I am glad I have now been inside.

My husband & i visited the pub on saturday march 23rd, first impressions very warm welcome & thought it would be good traditional local menu, however this was not the case. I found the menu quite an odd mixture of items, neither traditional, gastro pub or a la carte. However we enjoyed our food enormously, It was of excellent quality & cooked to perfection, the steak melted in the mouth. Wasn't so impressed with the potatoes as they were seasoned quite strongly. Price wise a very modest tariff for the portions & quality. One thing we found disappointing was the dress code of waiting staff, there is none & they were quite scruffy, one had a not pristine cloth tucked in her apron, & jeans & leggings are not really the thing !!!!! On balance we will go back as it wasn't an unpleasant dining experience.

Came across the Stilebridge last Sunday and stopped off for lunch. Although we had not booked and the pub was quite busy, we were found a table without too much of a wait. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was impressed with the range of beers offered, of which the staff seemed very knowledgable. My wife and I ordered the roast which was excellent and came with a good selection of vegetables. Overall we found it to be very good value for money, and would definitely return if we found ourselves in the area again.
