I don't often write reviews but this has to be the best hotel I've stayed in in the UK! We stayed last week for my partners 40th birthday in Kariega room. You are made to feel so welcome and the staff are very attentive without being intrusive. You will not be disappointed here. Thank you to all at Yorebridge house.

Room Tip: Kariega has a hot tub with a view!

The welcome is second to none, I've been here 3 times now and already booked in for a fourth visit. The hotel is small and the staff are on hand to help out with every request, the rooms (the ones I've stayed in) are clean, spacious and have everything you could need.
The drinks for being a hotel in the middle of no-where are well priced and the food is outstanding. I don't go in for this tiny meal thing that posh places buy into but every course is outstanding and will blow you head off like you Kurt Cobain with a shotgun under your chin!

Room Tip: Any with a hot tub!

Just returned from a fabulous night away at Yorebridge House. After reading the reviews and looking at the pictures we were expecting great things and thankfully we were not disappointed. We checked in around lunchtime and waited in the lounge area whilst our room was being prepared;sampling the gin list whilst we waited! Unfortunately our room wasn't ready in time for us having to leave to get to a lunch reservation we had at the Wensleydale Heiffer in West Witton which was equally as good, the staff at yorebridge however assured us our bags would be in our room for when we returned.

We returned around 3 and were shown around our room and the how to work the facilities. A couple of minutes later there was a knock on the door; 2 glasses of champagne had arrived. Its little touches like this that continue throughout the course of your stay that make the cost seem worthwhile. As the rain had finally stopped we were straight in the hot tub! An amazing luxury; if you decide on a hot tub room you have to be prepared to venture in in any weather! The hotel provides robes and slippers all of which make the chilly dash all the better. We stayed in the Rahmoune room which was impeccably decorated;the owner is an interior designer which can be seen throughout the hotel.

For our evening meal we decided to dine in the restaurant. For each room a reservation is automatically made in the restaurant for you. Through reading the reviews we knew how much the meal would cost;there are no prices on the menu. The food was exceptional. Each course was followed by a sample dish; all of which were a delight. To start my husband and I had the salmon, watermelon and fennel ceviche and the venison with brambles. For main I had the halibut with butternut squash and mussels and my husband picked the beef fillet with truffle. The menu changes daily according to what is in season. The hotel prides itself on using local produce. For dessert we both went for the classic arctic roll. Simply amazing. Cannot put into words how amazing the whole experience was.

The reviews, pictures, hotel website simply do not give this hotel the justice it deserves. This is well and truly 5 stars.

We have just returned home after an overnight stay in the Kariega room at Yorebridge House in The Dales. The room was lovely, but don't book the Kariega if you don't like open plan, even the loo is without a door. There was also a very damp odour. We couldn't decide if it was the shower or because we were next to the river. We had our own hot tub overlooking the River Ure and were straight in there in spite of the extremely chilly weather. It was fabulous. The food was good, and the service was very friendly. Our only criticism was the people upstairs who stomped about throughout the night, keeping us awake. I did mention it when I checked out and received an apology but no offer of any reduction in the bill, which was fairly steep for one night. We would go back as it's a beautiful spot.

My husband and I stayed at Yorebridge House in mid January.
I had found it on the a Secret Escapes deal, but dealt with the hotel direct. From the first phone call I made for the booking to leaving the Hotel I could not fault a thing.
The Hotel is in a quiet little village, perfectly situated to explore the beautiful Dales area.
This hotel is rated in the top 10 most Romantic places to stay in the UK and deserves it's place most definitely.
We stayed in the Barn which is a few minutes walk up the road from the hotel.
On arrival at the hotel we checked in and were seated in the bar to enjoy a welcome glass of Prosecco.
We then drove up the road to the Barn to be greeted by David (The owner) who was charming and most attentive, showing us all the facilities on offer (and there are plenty).
The Barn is beautifully decorated and finished to a very high standard. A great deal of thought and effort has gone into creating a beautiful space that works very well.
Wonderful double shower and a large freestanding bath. The bed was very comfortable and there was a large flat screen TV both upstairs and down in the living area (complete with sky tv package and dvd player).
We were only here for the night (unfortunately), but there is a small kitchen and living area which would be great if you were staying for a few days.
Just outside in the small court yard there was a lovely hot tub which was being freshly filled on our arrival. David explained that all the hot tubs are emptied and freshly filled for each new occupant, which was nice to hear and not at all out of character for this hotel who it seems go that extra mile to make your stay something special!

Our dinner at the restaurant was lovely. We were treated to a small tray of canapes with our pre dinner drinks. The food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked!
Breakfast was equally as nice, my husband chose the Yorebridge cooked breakfast and I had the Buffet style, both were lovely.
On our departure we had the opportunity to see a couple of the rooms in the hotel, which despite being upgraded where very nice and equally tastefully decorated to a high standard.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the staff at Yorebridge for their friendliness and expertise and for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Barn which despite being a few minutes walk from the hotel was well worth it. Not...

We stayed in the Mougins room, which is French themed. The photos on their website don't do the actual room justice. It's far nicer in real life. Gorgeous decoration, lovely bath, beautiful sash windows and lovely little extras in the room. The bed and pillows were a bit hard but that could just be personal preference.

Food was lovely. Don't eat here if you're a fussy eater as all dishes are quite unusual but delicious! Quality was lovely and the staff explained the dishes if needs be. Cheesecake taster dessert was amazing!

Full English in the morning was delicious.

We were recommended by the manager to try a local pub for lunch. It was very cute and authentic.

Great stay, very expensive but a treat.
