A great find. Hosts very friendly and natural. Decor is a lovely mix of the old and new, with a real sense of personal style. Sumptuous lounge with very comfy couch and open log fire. Breakfast and dinner to a very high standard.Bedroom was great and the bed extremely comfortable.

I can't think of a word of criticism.

And great value too!

Perfect romantic getaway/

Neil and Jan you deserve much success.

Room Tip: We had the store room which is plenty big, but Neil showed us the workshop - it is huge with a massive (copper?) bath.

We stayed for a couple of nights at LOW MILL and only wished it could have been longer. All the previous reviews have said it all:--- Lovely hosts, great food, not a spot of grease on the breakfast plates, eggs properly poached and good quality bacon and sausages. Dinner the previous evening was delightful too, beautifully cooked and served in front of a roaring fire and by candlelight.
The bedroom, "The Storeroom" ,was spacious and the bed supportive but not hard with soft feather pillows and a light but warm duvet ensuring a great nights sleep. The ensuite facilities were very good too a large bathroom with a bath and shower over. The shower was very powerful and there was always an abundance of hot water for a bath or shower when you felt cold wet and bedraggled. The weather was NOT kind to us but the warm hospitality made up for it .
Neil and Jane you are doing a great job and you deserve much success in your new venture. We shall return.
P.S. Just emailed several friends with your web address.

Room Tip: A quiet spot with large airy bedrooms.

We arrived at Low Mill to be met by Neil and Jane a very nice couple from London. We were made to feel at home right from the off! The mill is beautifully renovated to a high standard,we found ourselves relaxing immediately. This is the ultimate in B and B we added dinner and our visit was complete. Neil being a builder in the past has added some great ideas to the mill, the demo of the wheel was unexpected! We can't wait to return. Alan and Kathy

Just returned from a fabulous break staying in The Workshop Room, which was the original workshop of the previous occupant, Doctor Cole, who used the mill as both a workshop and dolls house museum. Most of the original millworks, including the waterwheel, remain in working order and Neil and Jane are only too delighted to show you the wheel working should you wish to see it. The Workshop Room is full of character and charm. It retains the original winding gear of the sack hoist and a large pulley wheel, has an emperor bed, log burner, huge copper bath, and separate shower room. The room has Wi Fi, ipod docks, flat screen TV, DVD player, fluffy towels, Temple Spa toiletries and robes and tea tray along with numerous varieties of tea/coffee/home-made fruit loaf. The room has been tastefully decorated by Neil and Jane, and has such a warm and welcoming feel. On arrival we were greeted with a pot of tea and home-made brownies which were absolutely delicious. Evening meal was served in the candlelit dining room and the food was wonderful. Neil and Jane are such welcoming hosts and have put in a lot of hard work to restore the building to what it is now, a beautiful three bedroom guest house. We had a wonderful stay and have already booked to return later in the year.

Room Tip: All three rooms are beautiful, none would disappoint

Booking online from Canada, you're never quite sure that the pictures and description match the actual property. We were not disappointed...Neil and Jane were the perfect hosts and were very helpful in giving us information about the area (where to eat, history of the towns, hiking/walking trails). We were trying to meet with people who knew something about my grandmother and, in spite of the numerous calls and phone messages they took on our behalf, there was never a complaint. The food was excellent - local, fresh, and generous portions. They have put their heart and soul into this place and it shows in the details from the tour of the mill and its machinery, the inviting sitting room, the dining room (each table situated so the diners have a view) to the uniquely decorated bedrooms. We will be back!

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent!
