Stayed here with two friends when we joined a bikers' rally in Riegel, June 2011. This was my third time in Riegel - a charming, friendly small town - but first time in the Riegeler Hof.
The staff were excellent; no problem in communication. The ladies running the breakfast room were helpful and friendly - I had an early start when I returned to the UK and they effortlessly made a breakfast and coffee available while still setting up the main room. Huge bowls of the freshest, highest quality fruit - gooseberries, strawberries, redcurrants, blueberries, raspberries, grapefruit - my antioxidants have rarely been so oxed. The reception staff were very good indeed.
The hotel is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. Thoroughly recommended, and at €60 / night would put many British establishments to shame.
My ONLY grouse is with the internet service; hopefully, those hotel owners still charging for internet access will get the message and stop doing it. The Riegeler Hof's WiFi service is free for 10 minutes, then you have to pay. An arm covers a half-hour or so; your left kidney should get you an hour, maybe - you get the picture. Silly, the way things are developing in the world.
Despite that, though, I would stay here again without hesitation.More
