We stayed at Whitesands for 4 nights. Our experience from day one to checkout was awesome. The entire team are very friendly and professional. Special mention goes to Mary ( kids club ), Julie Aloo, chrispin, Yvonne and Caroline and the entire team for looking after us during our stay.
I would recommend Whitesands highly. Mr Mike Kamau keep up the good job. The food is awesome, our room had a good view and very specious. The house keeping did an awesome job in cleaning and the little note on the pillow every night. We are definitely coming back again.
This is one of the best resorts in the North coast of kenya. WELL DONE.

Sarova white sands is a home away from home. First the reception, that greets you is just commendable you feel that you really belong. the staff at the reception are most welcoming, what to know how your journey was and then before you finish answering a glass of cool juice to cool the body. as if that not enough you get escorted to a new refurbished room which gives you an excellent relaxation.the restaurant , serves all kinds of fresh foods you may want to taste. the staff here are excellent to the details and want to see that you enjoy your meals. keep up White sands.

Room Tip: palm rooms are quite but the sea front room are excellent but not very quite if you need some peace

Sarova Whitesands Hotel is an experience in itself. I loved the place from the moment I entered the hotel till the time that I was leaving after 2 weeks.
The service from staff who cleaned your room, the main hotel lobby staff, the restaurant staff, the Gym and Spa staff to the amazing A team gave a great service to my husband and I .
I received an exemplary service from Grace who is in charge of the Tulia Spa and the Gym.
I was particularly impressed by the Spa treatments and massages which included many types of Ayurvedic treatments.
The hotel faces the Indian ocean which makes it particularly nice to sit outside in the sun with the cool Indian Ocean breeze blowing on your face.
There are plenty of activities in the hotel for everyone and for all ages as there are 5 swimming pools in the hotel.
The afternoon tea involes playing games with the A team team and there are lots of entertainment programmes after dinner in the Coco Bar including local Kenyan artistes and members of the A team who are highly talented.
The hotel caters for guests from all over the world and the diversity of the food in the restaurant during breakfast and at dinner time was amazing. I must commend the chefs and the restaurant staff because they always made an effort to accommodate different requirements. Food became a little tedious in the second week of our stay.
Overall, Sarova Whitesands is a great hotel providing a great service. Thank you to all the staff, management and particularly to Grace Ogolla, the manager in charge of Tulia Spa for all her warmth, her lovely smile and a great customer service!

beachview room and was very impressed. The hotel is just being refurbished and our room was superb with a most amazing walk in rain shower and you can even listen to the tv in the shower!! with all the toiletries you may need if you have forgotten anything, there was a mix up and our friends were placed at the other end of the hotel but next morning the staff moved all their belongings next to us as the room was now free. The swimming pools were amazing and always plenty of sunbeds available, the grounds were well maintained and very nice to walk round and nicely lit at night. The beach was very good and once again we dived straight from the beach with the dive school which was within the complex and very well run and the diving was once again excellent, although we did have a problem as we were told the diving hadn't been paid for and after some frantic calls to our travel agent this was resolved. The restaurant was very nice and the food was good although we never got chance to sample a full breakfast as we were up early for diving but the pizzas at lunch were superb and the evening meals was good with lots of choice and the waiters were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the coconut bar by the beach in the evening as it was a lot cooler than been in the hotel and had a very nice relaxed atmosphere about it. We also spent our last evening here before flying back to the uk and we were once again upgraded to poolside rooms which were very smart. One thing to note this hotel is busy at the weekends as a lot of kenyans come down from the city for the weekend but we still could get sunbeds and with the huge pools there was still plenty of room for everyone. So if you enjoy all the comforts of a 5* hotel you will love this hotel and its only 1/2 hour away from the airport.

Room Tip: By asking for a ground floor room we got really good rooms

I would never write a review. Ever. Or even make time to do so, but my time at Whitesands was really incredible. If you are looking for a place at the Coast to go to, and are bogged down by the millions of reviews you read (I did!), just go to Whitesands. You pay for great service, exclusivity, great meals, great rooms, security, a great beach and incredible staff. Oh! And the WIFI!!!

The name dropping begins... Karen and Levina at Coco's bar- they will take care of you. Grace & Kulambo at Pavilion, Lawrence at Reception and Michael the Chauffeur.

I had an amazing time, my fiancee' as well. It was much deserved and I'd definitely be going back.

Room Tip: Take the southside rooms, the sea and beach is just a minute away.
