“Good hotel public beach ok”

Very good food! Enjoy. Service good. Rooms good but a bit dated but new rooms looking amazing. No complaints about our stay. Evening entertainment could be better. Drinks prices were reasonable. I would stay again. Public beach is not so great but was clean. The snorkelling organised by the hotel was reasonable and amazing.

We were a group of about 40 who spent close to a week in the Hotel. The standout service was from the Check In Experience (Innocent - thank you) and at the Pavilions restaurant where Barbara and her team just made us feel at home. The Smile and the Service was very genuine and despite the varying demands of our group, Barbara stood out to take care of us all, with her team. Keep it up and we will be back..... Thank You.

Room Tip: The old rooms are bigger and better, though not facing the sea, but the pool..... i enjoyed it.

Our first holiday experience in Kenya, and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. On our arrival the front desk were very helpful and obliging. We were shown to our seafront room, which is one of the best we have stayed in, with fantastic early morning views and the ocean just a few metres away. All the staff are so friendly, happy and helpful. The restaurants offer a wide variety of food, and once again the staff have been excellent. We have enjoyed the evening entertainment, the bands, and the shows, especially the acrobats who are amazing. The sea is the warmest we have ever experienced, especially in the afternoon when the tide comes in. We took a trip on the glass bottom boat which included snorkeling and a walk on the reef, we saw plenty of brightly coloured fish, and the red and grey starfish we saw was almost unreal, it looked at first glance like a childs toy, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms by the Spa are quieter

I had never stayed at a Sarova until early this year so this was my way of sampling the brand. I must admit, I was very impressed.

To be received by the GM and Front Desk Manager on check in was a pleasant surprise. Patrick & Sarah @ Front desk were pleasant and very helpful.

Rooms: Our ocean facing rooms were very clean and the wing in particular had just undergone a renovation. The views early morning were breathtaking!

Restaurant & Food: The main restaurant was well ventilated and the buffet offered exceptional variety. I loved the Thai themed dinner the most.

Activities: The most appreciated aspect of my stay was the Ozone Kids Club. Gentle and very patient staff took great care of my 7 year old, he couldn’t wait to “report” at the appointed time and every time I picked him up…..he was never really ready. Mary and Susan are gems!

The gym is small and may need to be relocated.

There plenty to do during your stay. The Water sports activities are plenty and the safety standards and staff good. We did snorkeling and the Jet Ski. The Hotel pools are sufficient to meet the variety age groups/ Interests. The pool near the spa is the quietest. The Mombasa Go Kart is a few kilometers away and offers the rush for adrenaline packed kids.

Security: The Resort is secured all around and security personnel were visible.

I highly recommend this facility for Business and Leisure, by the time I checked out I had signed up to their Zawadi Loyalty program and my 7 year old is now a member of the Ozone Kids Club.

Room Tip: Get the newly renovated rooms.

Stayed here for a week long conference, the conference facilities are good. There are a many of water sports you can engage including diving, surfing, parasailing and jet skiing. The pools and bars are plentiful and the food is decent. Not a bad place to stay if you have kids or need a venue that can accommodate lots of guests.

This is one of Kenya's leading Hotels.
I was here two years ago and loved the whole experience then from the personnel responsiveness to services and activities lined up for guests during the holidays. Based on my experience then I still chose it as the ideal Holiday place while in Mombasa.

However this time round the experience was nothing comparable to what we had in 2010.

The beds are not comfortable, maybe mattresses changed or something ?

Then the people are so rude it seems like it is something that quite a number of people are complaining about...well It is true from the waiters who will even roll their eyes when you call them to place an order. Particularly during buffet meals drinks would even be delivered when you are about to leave the restaurant...you would even be lucky if someone actually came to serve you drinks at all.Other than that the animation team is wonderful very friendly young people that make one's stay wonderful.

The food remains great at least they do not disappoint on this, the standards remain high.

The entertainment is average but when most guests actually prefer leaving every night to better entertainment spots then something needs to be improved.

I stayed in this hotel on my recent visit to Mombasa and I must say I had such a traumatic experience . From check in to check out everything was a miss . The customer service agents are very rude including the Manager Judy who rolled face at me . Im sorry I would never be that rude to a customer under any circumstance . The floors in the room were wet and the bathroom was dirty and smelly . The room attendant was nowhere to be found . The rate was in correct and what was promised by manager was reversed and they would not bulge . Total lack of communication . If you have visitors they have to spend a minimum of ksh.3,000 which I found to be very colonial . The lady at check out was very unhappy with job and closed me out even without answering my questions . I have never seen such lack of customer service . I would advice you to steer clear of this location to avoid the heart break and ruined vacation that I experienced.
